True, and imo the strongest character throughout the entire series. Leadership, smarts, bad ass, fighting skills and was loyal… Bea had all of those traits, but it’s not even close to who the better fighter was

​@crush_4103 ye but bea only served 2 years in prison and started off from scratch with her fighting, by this season I really think we would've seen a stronger bea if she didn't die, once maxine wasn't any use then bea started fighting for herself and her fights had improved alot since season 2. Also she fought kaz like 3 times when kaz had literally spent half of her life fighting and beating down men she was in a group yes but learning to fight doesn't mean you have to be fighting on your own. Bea would've been stronger now if she lived but if we compare rita and beas fighting from season 4 then I do agree, rita had better punches but I think beas were more powerful and she'd have a better chance of knocking someone to the ground. Marie elbowed rita at the end of season 7 to get to Ruby and rita actually fell to the ground and had a nose bleed and Marie's tiny 😂 plus marie fought off all lous crew with a plank of wood but then kaz used to beat marie and bea used to beat kaz so it's how I look at it really. I deffo don't think it comes down to who we think is a better fighter and would win, I think it's just who the producers choose to win the fight in that moment, they don't look at their background of fighting like with marie fighting lous crew, before going to prison she was barely even involved in physical violence everyone did it for her and then she gets to prison and can all of a sudden fight. What I'm trying to say is if it were real life and bea and rita fought then rita would win but on the show I think the producers would give bea the win or it wouldn't be a proper fight they'd just make it so that bea punches rita or something and the officers stop it idk.

She was probably the only one who could have taken Ferguson out when she was in power.

I love this fight scene, Wentworth fight scenes is always realistic, I love the sound effects too and the slow mo. We all know Vera is keeping the baby,but doesn't want Jake to be part of the child's life, I think Vera is going on maternity leave and they'll be a new governor( Not Ferguson she's dead..I know we all miss her), Rita will be Top dog and Muray will have another body guard. How dare anyone compare this to OITNB, Wentworth is 10x better this has great story lines and I love how the directors /producers are very good at choosing names for the characters, It really suits them.

Obviously Marie IS going to be a match for Rita - unless someone else will be introduced in S7 to take her on. Otherwise what are they going to do for 10 episodes? Sit around twiddling their thumbs? Of course, predictably, Rita will win in the end anyway. I've no stock that they are trying to emulate the original anyway. Rita was supposed to take on Ferguson.

The first half was kinda slow, but it definitely picked up midway through.

It was boring. The sisters’ storyline didn’t excite me or interest me one bit. I miss the old wentworth cast: Bea, Maxine, Franky, Doreen, Liz with a healthy mind, even Sky lol. The show was just more enjoyable back then. I absolutely hated Sonia’s addition and how the writers continue to dumb down boomer. They have her acting like a giant 5 year old at this point and it’s really annoying. Season 7 should definitely be the last season. Should’ve ended at 5 but whatever.

I partially agree. Up and until Sonia died it was boring. After Sonia was gone that is when it started building. I do love the new characters. I think people need to realise that a tv show can never have the original cast forever and what they have done with the new cast members is pretty good. I still think they could have done a lot better with Kaz but by bringing in Marie, Ruby and especially Rita it has kind of spiced it up. Rita is definitely a character I love and the whole Ruby killed Marie’s son storyline will be interesting to see next season. I think making the characters all kind of intertwined will make it very exciting.

Joan has always been a precise and deliberate character - do you even watch this show? lol I don't understand how you can be so confident that Joan is weaker than Rita, without ever having seen them fight. We'll never let go of Bea. I just started over and Bea was so integral to the show those 1st 4 seasons. And even though we've had 2 full seasons without her, you can definitely feel her presence missing. I will say even though I disliked S5, S6 was amazing. If S7 ends up really being the last I hope it goes out with a bang, because this show has legit been one of the best I've seen in a while.
