Also, that proof the discussion had racist intent was that as a result the Royal family denied Archie the title of prince and took his title away. He wasn't eligible to be a prince yet because he was the monarch's grandson. He wasn't eligible for protection because it was a job perk for working Royals as determined by the UN and UK government. Harry reported the conversation(s) to Meghan as ones that made him uncomfortable, thereby implying that they were racist or reflected unconscious bias. Had that not have been HIS take, there would have been no reason for him to tell Meghan about the remarks. It really sounds like Harry may have been projecting his own unconscious bias onto his family members--possibly HE shied away from consciously thinking about the child's potential skin color either because he feared darkness would place the child in jeooardy during its life or because HE had not really accepted its full humanity. Likewise his constant deferencial references to MM seem possibly a matter of overcompensation for his not really accepting her as a fully human person capable of flawed judgment as well as of potentially great virtue and abilities.

Legal action is not going to happen at least as far as Charles is concerned it comes with too many risks. William however may be a different matter he is very protective of Catherine and has been to court before on her behalf. In the end it may be a case of quarantining the Markle's with no contact to stop more leaks and perhaps remove the HRH status or even their other titles.

There has been a Bill to Strip Titles on the floor in Parliament all year - it was introduced by an MP and has had at least 2 readings, We expected a vote on it towards the end of the year but Parliament let the 2023 session end without voting on it, meaning it is going no further. It will have to be re-introduced next session (2024) and start all over again.

Charles is hamstrung by the fact that he represents the Crown, which in turn represents the UK and Commonwealth, and as such, is above petty squabbles. Whatever he would really like to say or do, he cannot be seen to lower himself to the gutter behaviour of the Montecito grifters by getting into a public slanging match, and the Crown is in it for the long game. It's not entirely up to Charles either - he has Palace advisors, along with a legal team.
I think its very easy for us to want alimmediate action especially when one feels wronged. The King has a wealth of experience with dealing with such things, and the easiest thing in the world would be to lash out, to bring the full force of his position to shut things down. But lashing out, acting hastily never works in the long run, never. I trust the King to do what's right, he has thus far and he has good ppl around him to advise on the matter including William.

I don't think the RF need to do anything at this stage - never complain, never explain - they don't have to because their people will do it for them... They are loved and respected and their people will protect them. All the qualities that OS listed that made Catherine, Princess of Wales a 'stepford wife' are the very same qualities that make us love her so much - the fact that she is willing to learn, the fact that she is willing to fit in with an institution that is much bigger than her, the fact that she knows her place and uses the power she has - and it is considerable - to do good, instead of - like MM - expecting to get everything up front and immediately, not earning it, and expecting a centuries old institution with centuries old traditions, to simply change because she wants it to.
