This single, from McNubbs 1981 Album "Milkin'", was an attempt at breaking into the Smooth Jazz sound and away from his previous more bebop and modal Jazz work with the Wes McNubb Trio, due to poor record sales and hardly any pumpy pumpy action with chicks.
The new contemporary sound, with Wes singing lead vocals instead of sole guitar, sparked a new era for McNubb, with fresh hits like "Milk Me Once", "Sweat on my G-String" and "F-Hole", which saw him rise to new height's, and also lot's of pumpy pumpy action, with chicks.
"If anything too much", as McNubb went on to complain, "I feel like a piece of meat".
