In a parallel dimension Wes Mongomery's bionic thumb is genetically spliced onto Allan Holdsworth's hand and alternate brain hemispheres are fused together, resulting in the ultimate Jazz Chimera of Wellan Montgomsworth.

Obviously Yes ! Compared to Wes M., Jimi H. never got further than exploring the scene. Mr. Montgomery was an accomplished composer, interpreter & improvisor on guitar, who could play every ballad or blues in his particularly own style. Never heard Jimi play any uptempo tunes.
This is great - Wes stretching out here and taking his time. Just wish there was a video of this concert as well. Johnny Griffin is great on sax. 1965 was a good year for Wes and we are fortunate that there are a wealth of live videos from his European tour during that year.
