The course is a huge factor when it comes to the time taken, some courses we would play in groups of 3 in 3:50 - 4 hours no problems, then others it would be closer to 5 - 5:30 hours. Sadly though there are obviously those players, like Bryson, who are apically slow no matter where they play :(

@@AussieNaturalist Helps when your first out and by yourself. I have gone out first and alone on many occasions, walking, light carry bag. My fastest is just under 2 hours.

@@bigdaddio1959 Very true, Ive played a 3rd round in a tournament by myself in 2:12, well, there was also a scorer and my caddy, but I was the only player. It was odd but kind of fun, and I played well too lol!

@@jdrice523 I respect that. I took on online college algebra course that you had a year to complete (normally should only take 4 months). You had to take the tests in a testing center. But I took my final on the very last day and turned in my test with like 1 minute until they called for all the tests because they were closing. Got a 94% on the final, 95% total grade, A. It's a terrible habit but I'm generally successful when I just procrastinate then cram, which further reinforces the bad habit

@@el_duderino_man I go to a municipal course like 5 minutes from my house. These people overflow the entire parking lot with cars and literally have 12 people on the same hole. Its ridiculous 4 waiting to tee off, 4 in the fairway waiting to hit a second shot, and 4 on the green. It gets so frustrating. Sometimes my friend and I meet after work to try to squeeze a 9 in before it gets dark and we tee of around 6ish and only get through 6 holes

U r a breath of fresh air WB 👊👏. Showed the world, golf doesnt have to be slow and scores wont be, " the slower, the lower." A 4 ball can comfortably play under 3,5 hrs. Golfers will adapt. Save the game 🙏

This just proves that you don’t need to analyze every shot for 2+ minutes. If you put in the work on the range/practice greens, just trust your game and you’ll score well.

I’ve played a few rounds of speed golf, some of my best scores. Keeps the body limber, blood pumping, you’ll hit each shot further. That’s if you’re already fit tho.

I was playing the Tour Championship of Europe SAP on European Tour back in ‘08 (I think) and I had made the cut on the number and headed out with a scorer on Saturday morning, my caddy and a group of fans that came out to support. Anyway, we weren’t running or in a major rush or anything, but you just don’t need very long by yourself. On the back-nine we are coming onto a green and a marshall comes up to us and says the course is closed due to the tournament. We looked at one another and started laughing. Not sure how much he’d been drinking lol but it was very bizarre. We went round in well under 3 hours. Can’t remember what I shot but it’s in the score archives. ;)

Iv managed to break 90 mins on a cold day just before it goes dark, sadly course normally far too busy, I play some of my best golf when playing quick. On a championship course with greater diastances between green and tee he’s really shifting

Many of us have done this lol. As for me, I often schedule the first tee time at my muni. I can’t do 90 minutes at my handicap, and fitness level, more like 150 minutes but part of the reason I got back into golf was to get back in shape. No carts for me

If you play golf in Japan, you are forced to take a mandatory lunch break after 9 holes, and because they send you off both tees for 26 tee times, you often have a 90min break between nines. Wesley finished a round on the PGA tour while my foursome had a tempura soba lunch at Narashino Country Club last Saturday. What an inspiration - I wish all the 30+ handicappers out there that are plumb-blobbing from 2 feet would watch this! I just love his personality - it's even more magnified when seeing the interaction with his brother George.

I did this once, huge rain storm was coming, ladies club cancelled at the last minute and the storm never showed up. I blasted through the course, I had all to myself.

When I was 15, I caddied at a country club. I was waiting for my mother to pick me up. No other caddies were there as it was late in the day. Caddie master says I need you for 9 holes. I said my mother will be here in an hour I can't. He says don't worry you'll make it. The guy was about 6' 2" and about 235 lbs. I handed him his driver. Right down the middle and he took off walking so fast I had to run to keep up. He speed walked the entire 9 and I ran carrying his oversized bag the entire way, He shot 38 and that is how many minutes it took! I was drinking a pepsi as my mother pulled up. Unbelievable but true.

Sometimes it’s easier to play well this way due to your own rhythm and pace but elevating your HR in between a putt then a tee shot gotta be hard
