Beautiful area. I love it there. My daughter and son in law live there. They built a beautiful home in the Persimmon subdivision. The only problem with Wesley Chapel is the traffic. But, it has everything. It is clean and beautiful.
The traffic can be a bit much sometimes. Luckily, most everything you need is Wesley Chapel. Aside from maybe your Job. Thanks for coming by the Channel.

What’s so funny, when I looked at real estate in Wesley chapel I immediately thought about Grapevine or Lewisville area, I’m from Dallas. So that’s why it’s so appealing to me. You have to go far for some things but there’s always nice restaurants, trendy shopping, thr best targets 😂, lots of family things playgrounds and such and that’s what’s important to me. It is a bummer though it’s far from beaches . That’s my whole reason for moving to Florida
Agreed! Wesley Chapel is going to be a little further from the beaches, however, you do have the Epperson Lagoon and access to beaches at a relatively short drive. Although this longer distance is sometimes a bummer, I find that people tend to be a bit more intentional with their trips to beach if slightly further out, and take day trips to the beach instead of spur of the moment trips. I completely understand if that is too much of a deterrent though! are you getting excited about your move?!?

It doesn’t take 45 minutes unless it’s traffic to get downtown. It’s night now if I leave now I’ll be downtown in 25 minutes top with traffic it’s 45 minutes. Now the airport is about 45 minutes. But I can get on Ashley Drive in 25 minutes at night. I moved him 3 years ago
Have you done many out-of-state sales? I'm in Oregon and want to move to Tampa next year. I'm thinking it might be (?) beneficial to purchase a condo or townhome w/a current tenant and move there when their lease expires. I have family in Tampa that could do initial walk-thrus to give me a yay or nay and if they say it's a nice deal I could fly over.
Hey Brenda - this is mostly the way I work with clients. Usually they will visit for a long weekend so we can see a few areas and properties, and then we can do the rest over the phone.
Where would you recommend that is similar but doesn’t have as bad if traffic? I mean traffic within the area not just commuting traffic? I am from Minnesota and just kind of shooting in the dark.
Depends on your work and the times you'd be driving. Parts of the northern suburbs can be good options. Truthfully, there is quite a bit of traffic in the whole metro area. Feel free to reach out if you need more help in moving here.

@bling23 my hope is that there are more conservatives fleeing the blue states than there are liberals. My husband/family are originally from So Cal, but currently in NV and we can't wait to make the move to FL. We are conservative all the way so hopefully that cancels out a few of the libs that come down from NY/CA.

We really like Wesley chapel. If we decide to buy, we love to buy a new construction that is maybe in the design phase. Is that possible?

It is not very common in Wesley Chapel but it is common in areas to the West of there. Sinkholes are not as big of a thing as the media makes them out to be.
Although the occasional hurricane does happen in the Tampa area, It is not as common and as intense as many other parts of the country. I used to love living in Wesley Chapel and they have been building non stop the past 2 years and the traffic has just been horrible, and the schools are crowded!!! It’s annoying because I moved from Tampa to be in a more quiet, less crowded area and now commuting is so frustrating!!!
