Up until Passenger 57, I only knew of Wes as a drama & comedy actor (genres which also fit him well). And I thought the notion of starring him in an action movie, seemed like the stupidest thing ever. Im happy that I was proved wrong. To date, he is one of my favorite cinematic martial artists. Im still holding out for the hope of getting to see him square off alongside, or against the likes of Michael Jai White Scott Adkins, or Joe Taslim.

Just let the guy talk about his rage on screen (physical, visceral, and direct) with a good script, more gifted choreographers, and with the same earth and soil in sharpness of reality that Blade I+II have. And with the same Budokai spirit... That is basically Blade haha. Go into HIS darkness. Don't create a film that is 'fashionable'. (It's this non-fashionable alien attitude to life that creates his character in the first place). Not the daftness of poodles/hybrid vampires etc. Funny aye, but not too much. Not a film that has been devoured by it. Pandering. Give the dude more space. A Blade IV where he wakes up in the desert, would work a million times better than 'The Dark Knight Rises', because the dude HAS actually gone through it. And the acting would bring out his genuine side. A new Blade with a decent crew would SLAY it. Especially with they type of world that stores up inside you if you've ever experienced being locked up. 2016, 2017, 2020, or so as it works in the trade, needs another good Blade film. Not sold out to the lazy hacks that can't write, direct, or understand something that isn't just black and white. I agree completely with what you say mate! Wes could write the entire thing himself.

Ohhh I agree, I love them and him too.. But HE **HATED** Blade Trinity, and used a look alike stand in for everything that didnt require a close up of him. He felt the movie made a Mockery of Blade. They took away many of his rights on the film and so he only complied with what he had to contractually. Other than that he stayed in his trailor, and rarely spoke to anyone. Its said It was a very Hostile and difficult set to work on. :-( But Hey he LOVES that character and he felt it was being harmed. So I can understand his anger.
