You notice that the popcorn is a bit chewy? My guess is either too much moisture when popping. The bowl may need more ventilation or it's the kernels itself. I used the same kernels.
@@gfonzy What I do is leave the bowl off of the popper base as the kernels heat up in the oil. But, I stand over the popper base with the bowl in hand. Once I see and hear a kernel pop, I immediately place the bowl over the popper. This way, most of the steam has a chance to escape rather than affecting the kernels. Another tactic to help make the popped kernels more crispy is to use a touch more oil. Of course, the red cover for the bowl needs to be off during the popping process so as to allow steam to escape. You use the red cap on the bowl after popping to prevent making a mess.
That’s nasty you have a cat on the counter while you’re cooking popcorn cat hair is going to be flying all over the place and into the popcorn… that’s not clean
