A good 3 points and another clean sheet is not to be sniffed at. However, I don't know about the long throws. Yes, they're effective, but we used to slag Stoke off when they had Rory Delap doing the same thing. And it was great to see the team spirit around Button at the end.

I managed to get into the game with 2 minutes left on the clock. I was Stuck on the motorway for two and a half hours. Security numpties refused to allow me in, despite seeing my season ticket. I was instructed to walk around the ground. Eventually I managed to get in by mingling with the police. That's some way to treat a season ticket holder for past 30 years.

Happy for Button, he was really on a hiding to nothing, but one good save and did his job calmly at the end. Look he may not be our best keeper, but when called on he performed. Can't ask more than that.

Great to see the win, but the enviable thing is from defence and midfield up to the forwards, this team are weak and if we get into the playoffs, this team needs massive improvement because over the years we have wasted good money on poor players. There is no getting away from that. So let's look forward to better times.
