As an eagles supporter, I'd have to say that this was probably the best game we played in upwards of 10+ years. Skill level and pressure was unbelievable. When I saw Kennedy lay that big tackle on Frost, I knew they were switched on. So happy it all worked out.

Was fortunate to go to this game. The atmosphere was just unbelievable! When you’ve got almost a full stadium going for the one team , the noise is just something special to experience! Pendle’s in the qualifying final pretty much said it was the loudest crowd he’s played in front of.
@@nath-wp7xp that roar after the Lecras goal review is complete after 11:18 is the loudest I’ve ever heard, was literally like a sonic boom type wall of sound that you could sense coming towards you and literally feel going through you. The difference between a big Carlton vs Collingwood or Anzac game, is despite having around 90-100k people there, you have a closer to 50/50 split of fans around the ground. This game was virtually a colosseum full of West Coast fans.
@@russdy1982 yeah makes sense. I tried to get tickets to this game but missed out in the general sale. Loudest I’ve heard Optus Stadium has been either Jetta’s goal in the 4th quarter against Collingwood Qualifying final, late Kennedy winner against Richmond 2021 or Walters goal in the Freo vs Bulldogs final. An incredible stadium for footy.
Best half of footy from my eagles that i've ever seen, worst half of shockingly biased commentary I have ever heard, put a dampener on a great game of footy.

@@ChuckGibbs39 looking at the umpire isnt a prerequisite for staging, he copped a hand to the throat with force, not a big deal but objectively it's there. Anyone with common sense can see that. Stating im a westcoast supporter demonstrates that I'm not making a biased call. Your inability to understand that doesn't make it a valueless statement.
LeCras goal should've stood. As I understand it, if the reviewer doesn't reverse the decision before the centre bounce, too bad. The umpires were ready to bounce the ball and reviewer told them to stop. Not how it works. If you can't make a decision i the 30 seconds you're given (especially if it's as clear as that on the footage), too bad and you probably need to find yourself another job as well. And yes it was clearly touched, but as I said, once the ball is bounced it's too late. The reviewer is not allowed to ask the field umpires to hold up play.
What the hell was Richo talking about after the Ryan mark? Gawn had no chance. Viney took a massive dive. Umpires starting to do what ever they could to get Melbourne back in the game.

God Razor is a terrible umpire makes it all about himself I don't go for either of these teams but some of calls and the way he favoured Melbourne was disgusting.
I feel like the mark by Josh Kennedy at 14:40 should not be awarded as a mark, in the same way that Toby Greene's kicking people in the chest should not be awarded. As soon as a player goes studs up at another I reckon it should be the equivalent of a push, because if that was Kennedy's hand it would be awarded a free to the Melbourne player.
