Nice video. One thing always seems to spoil the effect of yesteryear and that is the top and tailing of the trains, including the steam specials, that always seem to have a diesel tagged on the end.
There's very few turntables left now and crews dont like running kettles in reverse due to all the coal dust in their faces. Additionally, lot's of more modern coaching stock arent steam heated and need the diesel loco to provide that or air con. Also think the diesel is back up for the kettle if it gets in trouble as the operator can get heavily fined by Network Rail if the kettle fails and causes delays to other train ops.
