What I love about Mastodon is the lack of that morbid seriousness most heavy bands display.

I have a feeling Mr. B. Hinds is gonna make it big someday. It's just a matter of time.

The West End Busker walks nearly a quarter of a mile. EVERY DAY.

Fun fact: Busker Hinds was one of the greatest astronauts in the entire world and a 4 star chef.

The dulcet sound of Brent Hinds slowly closing in on you from the distance playing guitar. Then he stands in front of you, performs for a few moments twanging and rambling incoherent and moves on. That’s like a Bill Murray moment, no one would ever believe you.

This was surprisingly sane... well atleast for Brent

Nice to finally hear Brent’s natural voice after all these years.

This makes me really want a folk/country/blues album done by B. Hinds.

One of the big reasons i luv mastadon, they make these crazy and wacky one offs you think they're a bunch of comedians rather than epic rock stars but they always seem just as down home and real no matter how big they get 😄🤘

At the end of all the other vids, the promotional audio was an instrumental version of Pushing the Tides. As this one ends with Dirty B's beautiful instrumentation, I can conclude that the train song is going to be on the album.

I only saw Mastodon live one time. It was on the Remission Tour when they supported Dillinger Escape Plan. The entire band was pretty much broke, living in a small van, and all appeared to be homeless. They were all asking people in the crowd after their set, if anyone had a place nearby Detroit that the band could shower and crash at for the night. Everyone was like... umm NOPE! They destroyed that night though, and had no trouble selling merch. One or two albums later, they are on tour with Metallica, and that was all she wrote.

There he goes, off again to serenade the tracks. Some folks say that to this day, you can still hear ol' Dirty B. Hinds a-strummin' and a-singin' his melody, with the whistlin' train a-chuggin' along in tow.

As a European who often uses "That's very American" in a negative way, I for once can finally say "That's very American" in a positive way, because that is what Brent has: "Positive but very American energy!"

Dirty B Hinds managed to make it to the same bar as myself after a gig in Belfast some years back. I felt we bonded over our love of Daft Punk over a couple of pints of Guinness and a very drunken young lady and her boyfriend. To this day I still feel proud of not once asking for a selfie and just wishing him luck for the rest of the tour.

He truly is a savant. Just fooling around, you can tell he can kind of do whatever he wants with a guitar.

Lmfao, I love this, I was born in Atlanta but raised up here in Cherokee County, north of Atlanta, I recognized the area, my brothers and I poured a couple of footings down there a few summers ago and someone kept stealing our 2\4’s, when I seen Homie walking by with the wood on his shoulder I was like there’s the culprit lol, This Was Great 😀🤘

I love going to Atlanta to see my girlfriend….. but secretly….. I go there in hopes of seeing Brent doing the Brent thing…. He is hilarious and amazing and funny beyond words. Playing in Mastodon is just a bonus…. Being Brent is the gift to everyone!!!
