Another great video! Thanks for sharing. I stayed at the Inversnaid Bunkhouse the first time on WHW and I remember the food was excellent. Your meal looked pretty great. Looking forward to Part Three!

Very enjoyable video, thank you. I’m booked to walk the WHW next May including a night in Inversnaid Lodge so I was pleased to get a look at it, the food looks great too.

@@wandering_not_lost The food was exceptional, with a good range of drinks to choose from too. Having also been to the Inversnaid Hotel itself, I think the Bunkhouse is the better option; it has much more character and is more relaxed.

Really enjoyed watching, I wonder if I’d be fit enough to attempt this next spring…

@@zsianz1 That’s a good timeframe to aim for; very similar to what I did for my first WHW trip at the beginning of May. I started by going for longer walks 2 or 3 days in a row, plus a “big” walk at the weekend. The best idea is to build up to it, plus force yourself to go out in all weathers, as when it comes to Scotland in the spring…you never know what you’re going to get!

@@WillisWanders thanks so much for the tips, I live in Aberdeenshire so I’m no stranger to bad weather but you’re so right, I tend to plan all my hiking around nice weather and I might need to be a bit more brave hehe

The best thing I ever did was invest in some good waterproofs (Fjallraven). It still makes my eyes water when I think about how much I paid for them but they’re worth every penny. I love the North East - I’ll be up there for a few days next month. I’m taking my dogs to Crovie to escape the fireworks!

@@WillisWanders that sounds like sound advice, maybe I should get some and force myself out this winter instead of declaring hiking season over!! Ohh I only live 30 minutes away from Crovie, it’s a lovely hidden away gem! Ah yes, dogs and fireworks are not a good mix!!
