WEST HIGHLAND WAY TIPS AND TRICKS TO A SUCCESSFUL HIKE | WILD CAMPING OR HOTELS  

Having walked the full 96 miles of the West Highland Way, twice since May 2021, I thought I would share with you my top tips for the trail. My first trip was a wild camping experience and the second trip I took a group and we utilised hotels and luggage transfer.
0:00 - Intro and waffle about the UK weather
1:40 - Don't underestimate the difficulty of this trail!
2:55 - Take extra cash! You will spend money in the towns!
3:38 - Prebook accommodation
4:29 - Get a West Highland Way Passport
5:59 -Alternate routes
6:58 - size up!
7:57 - Stop at the Inveraron Hotel (even for a cuppa)
10:26 - Take trekking poles
11:08 - Be prepared for rain!
12:21 - Midges
14:32 - Take £1 for the shower at Kingshouse
15:20 - Sunrise
16:07 - Visit Glengoyne Distillary
17:05 - Navigation
18:22 - Dry your boots
19:08 - Ski lift
20:19 - Last time about smelling the roses.
