It contains 12% of the world's fish catch, 11 billion barrels of oil reserves, and 190 trillion cubic feet of natural gas reserves. This is a very bias viedo. Look at tillllme 5.30, when talking about Philippine's cliam, unlike the previous mentioning on other countries, there is nothing like others countries rejected the claim and the claim is against international law. In fact the Philippines's boundary line was limited to the Treaty of Paris and Treaty of Washington. The spratly archipelago is outside the boundary. That's why in 1956, the Philippines claim it was res nullius and should become their islands. It is a weak, if not an unreasonable claim because Chinese claimed these islands in 1920 and 1947. It is a shame. Philippines is a thief. Japan had captured these islands in 1937. They kicked away the French with the reason that Japanese is in conflict with China and the Japanese have to capture these Chinese islands. After the WWIi, the Chinese take back the islands and announced again what they did in 1920 that they are the owner of the islands. In the treaty of Taiwan, Japan agreed to return these islands to Chinese. Vietnam, China which country have legal rights to have these islands are very hard to tell. But why French did not take back the islands in1937 if French thought these were their islands? It only make sense they knew those islands were not belonged to them and they had no rights to hold those islands on hands. Anyway, Phillipines is the one who have no legal rights on historical claims according to international law.
