Thank you for showing our neighborhood.....there is no place better to live, great schools, lots of sports, clean streets....lots of happy children playing....
I was born in Phoenix and grew up in Maryvale. I enjoy watching your videos. The sad part to me however is that the Phoenix Metropolitan Area is just one Development after another, Shopping Malls, Chain Restaurants - Chain everything. Like living in an ongoing commercial. I have great memories of growing up in Phoenix when Phoenix was Phoenix, a desert city. During the summer, we stayed in the shade during the day and played late into the evening. Our parents were long in bed sleeping before we would come in. Rodeo Day Parade and the State Fair were the biggest events in town, as kids we waited all year for. That being said, I would like to thank you for making these videos.
I too grew up and live in Phoenix, Peoria, Glendale, South Mountain, as well as Maryvale but that was in the 50's and 60's. I did not feel the heat then for there were city pools almost everywhere and it cost 10 cents to get in. I went back 2 years ago and came in through Yuma and drove to Phoenix and you are right no space between towns it is just an other LA type town.
Yes Please more of these videos I'm really thinking about living in Arizona....Glendale, Scottsdale, or any other you'd recommend..thank you so much this really helps me....im looking forward to my visit in June!
Nice video I've lived in north Glendale for over 15 years, now in north Peoria for 9 years. You missed Hurricane Harbor water park, Glendale's Thunderbird Conservation Park, Peoria Mountain Preserve, Peoria Paloma park. Lots of great hiking trails around lake Pleasant also. I enjoy your videos.
@@acommentator69 😀 I'm one of those Californians who bought here in 2018. But I'll bet you that I vote exactly like you. Many Californians are refugees. We don't want to change our new states but love them just as they have always been. We want to assimilate and be Arizonans.
Good video - the area over by Happy Valley one click north of deer valley is some of the prettiest is Phoenix. You have lake pleasant, amazing hikes and mountains, beautiful new homes and very very clean and safe. Always have the hot air balloons launching in the morning, places to ride off road vehicles. And as far as malls go in 2021, arrowhead mall stays busy always and has full tenants.
I love your channel and appreciate you having these episodes. For future programs, I'd love to see one on Mesa and another on the Catalina Foothills in Tuscon. Thanks!
Dude you went right past my house on Lake Pleasant and Deer Valley. You missed the new park just before the 303, Paloma Park. I've lived out here since '07 and enjoy watching your videos.
loved the look on your face when you tasted the creme brulee - very cool!! :D I will officially be in Surprise on April 12th.. looking forward to many adventures!!
I enjoyed this video and it's highlights of Peoria. Unfortunately it did not cover the Vistancia neighborhood, where there are newer and even more beautiful homes than shown. It also has Trilogy, a gated 55-plus community.
Agreed lots of luxury neighborhoods in North Peoria including Vistancia, Lake Pleasant Heights, Northpointe, Sonoran Mountain Ranch, The Meadows, Aloravita, and many more! Also there are finally more luxury apartments and entertainment coming to the area
I love you showed desert diamond casino I was saying that as soon as I found out you were in Glendale ! Peiora looks awesome but I think it’s too expensive
Don’t tell 🤫 lol j/k! I live in Glendale and my kids go to school in Peoria! I love love love it! 🤫 Edit: Love Arrowhead Mall, gets crowded but it has all I need... every now and then I go to Scottsdale Mall. Your face after eating the 🍮 lol will try it out!
Hey Jeff from the East Coast I was in Phoenix yesterday drove through Peoria it was pretty nice stayed in downtown Phoenix everything is dead there everything shuts down early in Tucson now pretty much the same thing even more looking for places to possibly move I like Litchfield Park and Peoria near Luke Air Force Base
And all those Peoria homes are stick construction - with 1" styrofoam for insulation and chicken wire for stucco, and needs 2 or more 5 ton ACs to keep reasonably cool.
North Peoria is amazing. Lots of new home build and options to choose from. I just got a new home that started construction at Northpointe in Vistancia. My family loves the neighborhood and we can’t wait to live in the foothills and close to the lake and everything!
118 today in peoria. Water restrictions on the way. A lot of traffic. Housing prices way too high. You may want to reconsider moving here. I've been here 25 years and the decline of the state due to various reasons are obvious now. This state has been an economic safety net for people from expensive states for a long time. Now the prices and politics have caught up.
I looked at all the videos that you have listed on your channel. Since the majority of them have the name Phoenix in the title I think maybe you should come up with a new name. Maybe something like Living in Phoenix or maybe Phoenix Rules or wait! How about Phoenix, Phoenix, Phoenix! Yeah, that's got a nice ring to it. Personally, I like Phoenix Sucks the best.
Hey Jeff or anyone that lives out there, we all be moving out there in June and u mentioned use long sleeve Dri fit tees as opposed to tanks. But do those Dri fit long sleeves protect against sun burn...? I always figured the sun would cook you right through them. But if u have one it’s enough to block the 100degree sun without getting burnt? Also do u reccomend specific shorts as well? I’m gonna be doing some courier wrk out there so I’ll be in and out of my car! I usually wear cargo shorts here in Cali
June is actually "hottest" time of the year, check the almanacs. I hate those things because they're polyester and the sun really makes them cook. I run around in cargo shorts myself out here, but if I know I'm going to be in the sun for any longer than about an hour in a day, even in-and-out, I'm putting on SPF 70+ because you will burn. You're also going to be in your car, spray down your left arm, otherwise you'll end up with age spots on one arm and not the other. You'll see, you can spot someone whose lived here a while. They're the 60 year old going on 40.
I moved to Arizona a year ago from so cal. First 6 months I rented in Goodyear, which is a great city. Bought a house in Verrado in September. I love it here. HOA is $113. Well worth it because of all the amenities n parks. It’s just difficult to find a home in Verrado now because there isn’t a ton available
@@ericgamez8213 I am also from So cal, Upland to be exact. But im moving there from the East Coast. Is Verrado a large community? How do you feel about Buckeye? Does it really effect Verrado? Thanks again for your response.
@@foxhound5043 I’m from Rancho Cucamonga! Verrado is a lot closer to center of Goodyear than it is to Buckeye. I’m rarely in Buckeye. Usually take the drive to Goodyear for my needs. Verrado doesn’t feel like it’s actually part of Buckeye. It’s off in the corner close to border of Goodyear. Plus there’s a lot more to do in Goodyear. Love Verrado tho. It’s pretty large. Growing super fast. Getting expensive tho. They’re building stores n shopping more n more
ok i lived in Apache Junction for a few years in the nineties ---where i can i be with no people around i hate golf i dont do any kind of sports unless it is guys building hot rods in their garages and drag racing on deserted back roads i dont eat fast food or in restaurants unless it is a a small town diner and have no choice so no loss there so mountains and a dirt road is fine with me dont care about a ohhh and ahhh factor i could live in a old mine or cave so ---where do i go or look
Love your content - thanks! BUT I have one constructive comment. Please go back and listen to your videos. The (voice) audio is all over the place. Usually, with your mic inside your gator (neck scarf), when you are out of your car it's muffled, but in your car or when the mic is exposed it is very loud and clear. The music is great, but again the volume is up and down. I have to keep adjusting up to hear your clearly and then down again when the volume goes way up. Just wanting to help you hear, and disregard if you have already figured this out. Thanks for the great content!
Do people still shop at Macy’s? Nah.... I haven’t stepped foot in a mall in ages. I did make it to Tanger outlets near Westgate and was NOT impressed at all so I skipped Westgate. It’s for the people who don’t have money but like to spend it. 👎🏻
