He should donate it back to West Point. Let another member of the long gray line use the same gold for symbolic reasons. Symbolism: isn't that why you have the rings in the first place?

You know I graduated 2018 I'm going to have for years then I'm going to give it to one of my kids if my wife has a son I'll make sure he holds on to it whatever happens to me the ring is safe with my son and mabie when he has kids he'll tell them about my class ring in 3000 it doesn't matter how many years mine is going to make through all those years circle of life it means alot to your son whoever is my son I'm his father he shouldn't lose it as it means something he doesn't know how long I can live but he has something from his father

So...her husband stole the ring? I’m sorry but as a ‘10 graduate I’m wondering how the ring came into the Sergeants possession. Rest In Peace of course, but just how did it come into his possession?

No he must have gotten it mixed up if he was in the same division but different regiment thats common too have things go missing and then for some reason they get back to there rightful owners

Danny Edelman IF they ever get back to rightful owners. These rings are very valuable. But, what you’re saying doesn’t look possible judging by the unit patches the sgt and colonel are wearing on their left shoulders. I’m honestly guessing that the mail was just so FUBAR back then that it was just taken for a keepsake.

What does that have to do with the story about the ring?
