I can't seem to find any info on the train track that runs thru Westchase. I know it is owned y CSXT. I found some info back to 2017 on people complaining about the noise. This would be a very important information to have before deciding to spend a LOT of money in Westchase.
You are awesome and doing a great service to community and people moving in the area. Hopefully the chamber is taking notice to that. We saw most of your videos and you practically sold us the Westchase area. Thank you so much for taking time to provide such a unbiased, valuable information.
This area was nice 10 years ago but like so many parts of Florida, it has been so built up and it is very congested. Try driving on Linebaugh ave around 8:00 am or 4:00 pm. Hope you like traffic.
I lived there 10 to 13 years ago . I really liked it a lot . But I can imagine how much nicer the area must have been before it became all built up. I have to wonder what it's like now all these years later in terms of traffic and taking every little free chunk of land to build another shop or eatery .
@@gardensofthegods yeah . The florida realtor covid price hike is killing the local market.. no locals are paying 430k for a 180k home..alot are moving..me included..
Hello Melanie! I was wondering if you could provide some recent updates or clips from 2023 on Westchase. I'm particularly interested in learning more about the current price trends and the benefits of living in Westchase as opposed to a location closer to the beach. Additionally, I would love to hear your thoughts on the pros and cons of living 30 minutes away from the ocean. On another note, I was also hoping to get some information on the most popular real estate websites in Florida. I'm familiar with John L. Scott, Zillow, and Redfin in the northwest, but I'm not sure which sites are most commonly used in Florida. Thank you!
thoughts on Sarasota? I'm looking to possibly move there! Not sure if you have ever been to that region? :) Currently living in Orlando but want to be closer to the beach.
Sarasota is nice..but pricey..orlando is cheap compared to sarasota..i live in snead island in palmetto..way better..very laid back city..if money isnt a issue south sarasota is nice..terra ciea is nice..
Sarasota IS great, it is expensive but the surrounding areas are worth exploring. Venice, Northport, Bradenton. Orlando is nice to visit, but you couldn't pay me to live there. Traffic is insane. Tampa is great & I love living here.
@@SoaringSpirit1111 I agree that Orlando is not very appealing - no beaches, lots of gator-filled lakes, everything too new (no real history), and tourists everywhere! Sarasota and Siesta Key are beautiful, along with St Armand's Circle, but it has more of a rich retiree vibe - though l I think of culture. It is light-year's more appealing that Mickeytown!
@@jdhjimbo Yes i will always love Sarasota. We do have Clearwater/ St. Pete beaches in Tampa. Among others. I feel so many are priced out of some areas. I love where I am. Its off tge beaten path, yet not far from things.
@@SoaringSpirit1111 My grandparents lived in Dunedin on a canal for 40 years, so I became very familiar with Clearwater Beach and Dunedin Beach. I like the added culture that Sarasota has, and the sand on the Gulf beaches is so nice! I also like the Palm Beaches, but further south is too congested. The drawback is that it takes 6 hours by car to get out of Florida. Also, there seems to be limited flight connections between TPA and PBI/FLL. I really like the Hyde Park neighborhood in South Tampa as well as anyplace in Florida - and it is right in the heart of all the action. I do hope the Rays can get out of that Tropicana dump, and build that park in Ybor City. No one wants to sit I a dark, gloomy dome in the Sunshine State. Now, that the team is good, they need a better venue. I wish I had purchased a codo at Siesta Key back in 1997, when I had the chance, but I was leery of being an absentee out-of-state owner, and that was before airbnb or Vrbo. Prices have really escalated! That cond was $275k, and is almost tripled in price today - right on the Gulf. Florida prices had been pretty stable for years, but not so in the last 20 years! I still want to be on a Kate in New Engkand for the 3+ really hot months/hurricane months, though Tampa does not get many - like the SE Atlantic Coast. In 40 years, my grandparents only evacuated in 1993's "Storm of the Century".
