And it's pretty saddening to see our children not learning Sanskrit- it is like not accepting our mother. I pretty strongly requested my parents to let my sister take Sanskrit as the second language in school over Punjabi, because it is our Dharma to learn this mother of languages as followers of the brook of Sanatan. I would also urge parents from all corners of the country to choose Sanskrit as the second language of our kids after the local language. Cheers.

Hindu itself was ignorant term used by the colonialists to classify the several sects, cultures and philosophies that originated from the Vedas and the people in present India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Burma. The Vedas, the Upanishads and the Mahabaratha do not prexh a religion. They are universal teachings for all human beings.

Only the Muslims refer to other Abriamic religions as people of the Book. The Bible is the "Word of God", it is divinly inspired and written by Prophets, Apostles of Jesus. No other book in the world has been scrutinized for accuracy and validated as the Biblle has undergone. So it is the most accurate book you will ever find.

As more and more people are getting access to science and technology, People are rapidly losing their faith in Christianity and Islam. A true Brahmin . You can be Brahmin by genes ,birth but you are not giving that environment. Trust me there are western people who are more educated ,more clean inside outside,detached from EGO,lust , knowing brahma conciousness system. And they are fighting to preserve Sanatan & its original identity and values . Pranam to all Gurus ,Brahmins who want to preserve the religion of the world ,that is Sanatani . It's simply superb reply by Mark Twain for the the question posed. My wholehearted pranaams to both of them. Mark Twain explained the enhancement of individual jeevatma to paramatma in lucid manner and how vedic patashalas were used for the said purpose. Bharat has produced many rishis in this search of God . This was the ultimate aim of life. Aiming to change from Jeevatma to paramatma. This is the basic tenet of sanatana Dharma. Every individual has potential to convert from Jeevatma to paramatma if he really puts all his efforts with passion and devotion. Though all may not achieve in one life time but it is not waste of effort. He carries over this credit in next birth to continue from his existing level acquired in previous birth. In this parampara many truths were explored by these rishis in their meditation and the same were shared for humanity. Even Kings of Bharat is to take advice from these ennriched souls to keep proper order in their respective kingdom as per Dharma. Today world requires this knowledge to be shared in order to keep this chaotic ,confused, selfish and fanatic world to be in peace.

Its a borrowed language mostly from Sanskrit, Latin (spanish, portuguese etc), German, French, Russian, Arabic, Urdu/Hindi Etc. Etc. - known as the 'Bastard's' language coined by the West themselves.
