So the original is definitely got a specific feel, it’s more lightweight. The 2.0’s feel and perform better in my opinion. They feel stiffer without loosing movement. The original were too loose and they had to structure almost.
The Evolution 1.0 version of these are very good technical pants for warmer climates. the biggest drawback would be a lack of stretch. I think the Diversion has way more stretch, but a different fit entirely. The AT-SLIM is basically a thicker version of the 1.0 - if the 2.0's have more stretch I would definitely buy another pair. The 1.0s are very good and unless they added some stretch, I don't understand what they could have done to improve.
I was actually JUST looking for travel pants. I cant tell if these would fit me. I lift weights and have thunder thighs. I'm a little fatter than normal right now, but when I was 10lbs lighter I couldn't get into any 32" pants. Thighs tight waist loose. Western rise doesn't state what sort of cut these have, would these fit someone with a more "athletic" build, or should I look for travel pants that come in a relaxed fit?
Thanks for the review! It's funny, I had just ordered a pair of Evolution 1.0 (because they were on sale) but I also threw in a pair of the 2.0 as well since I wanted some in black to replace some old tech pants I had. Your video makes me think I might just return the 1.0 pair since the 2.0 seem to be so much better - but we'll see since they are half the price I may just keep them both 🙂
@@OdieMatthews also while I have your attention, what do you think about the 2.0 for thicker thighs? I can't make sense of their sizing chart, it seems to be different cut based on waist.
