I bought my first pair of evolution pants about 2 years ago. As a test I wore them for 25 days straight without washing. No odor. I bought two pairs of evolution 2.0 (black and dune) and 3 pairs of western rise diversion (black, gray, and dune). Diversion are a little heavier wear a little more like a jean and are a little warmer for Midwest winters. So I wear those in winter months and evolution in fall / spring. If I’m traveling I only take evolution. Love these pants. They make up 100% of my pants other than a pair of joggers I own.
Good to know. I just placed an order for 2 pairs of the Evo 2.0 and plan on using them on an upcoming trip where I'll be packing only one backpack with merino shirts/socks and these pants. Was hoping the odor/anti microbial claims were true.
They're lightweight and fairly breathable, I've been wearing them hiking in ~80F (27C) dry weather and they do great. But I think if the weather was more humid, like SE Asia they would be too warm.
Thanks for another great video! I have a Western Rise Chino’s. I think it’s a good buy. Right amount of stretch, but the coarser weave makes for a toothy feel and also a little noisy (not excessively). Winkles from pack a pack packing came out easily w a little steam from an iron. I have a Ministry of Supply pants that I like a lot because it has a finer weave and a softer hand. I’d be interested in your take in comparing these Western Rise to Ministry of Supply. Thanks!
Thanks for your feedback, I also find they wrinkle a little in my pack but come out after I start wearing them. I haven't tried out Ministry of Supply yet but I think that would be a good comparison. Thanks!
Very nice! I’ve been enjoying the Kathmandu flight pants for travel and going out, and HLT hike pants for work. Light, stretchy, no wrinkles and I can wash in sink and wear in the morning. Safe travels.
