What a beast. My back up has only L14 but I rewired for L50 on main gen, I found an adapter on amazon to plug the L50 into L14 might make dads install easier. AC , pumps, fridge and freezer have 20-amp surges if you need near max power turn them off if you don't have a 20kw generator. Surprised it wasn't tri fuel as standard.
Hey man, nice purchase. I have been shopping for a generator for my house recently. This seems super badass. They make a box you can attach to your ac unit that reduces the draw when it starts up. The one I was looking at is by micro-air. They say they can also increase the life span on the compressor on the unit as well.
Yes I heard about soft start for A/C My A/C units are 32 years old and I don’t want to mess with them. Whenever they fail I will install new ones with softstart Until then, my badass generator will kick them on no problem
I was gonna purchase that tank, but wanted to get something that will take propane as well. I went with the champion tri-fuel 201151. That Imperial Star Destroyer you have has way more features than my champion. Also the reviews on Westinghouse are pretty amazing. I wanted to do the duel fuel kit for that monster, but the wife said that’ll be too much work and will cost even more. The champion edged out Westinghouse on customer service/ support according to reviews online anyways (you know how that goes). I haven’t tried my generator yet, and hope I have no regrets.
Looks like that Champion gen is an excellent choice. Tri-fuel and inverter technology is good to have. Yours is smaller and easier to move around and store. Also yours won’t use as much fuel as mine. All choices have pros and cons.
Yes I know I have one 50 receptacle shown in the video. I will run a second 50amp receptacle from a sub panel then I will be able to use both 50 amp outputs on the generator. Thank you for your comment.
Just for clarification it’s not the watts that tripped the breaker. It’s a fact you probably had a 30 amp cloths dryer a 20 amp washing machine and probably at least a 20 amp coffee maker all running at the same time that’s a lot of power and the circuit breakers meant to trip if it ever exceeds to 30 A Not trying to be a smart ass but just so you know
Thanks. There is not a propane option from the manufacturer but there is an aftermarket propane kit for a retrofit. Search RU-vid for details because I only use gasoline and diesel powered stuff. My propane use is limited to grills, stoves and torches.
bro thanks for saving me from wasting my time. I was half way through the video waiting to hear the sweet sound of v twin under load. bit of a rude response too.
