Thank-you for sharing your Dublin departure with us, Alex. I am exceptionally happy that your departure was on a stunningly beautiful day with limited overcast. I’ve been privileged to fly enough, so that if I am unable to actually experience another’s flight, I am able to equally enjoy it vicariously. So, your video totally renewed memories of the many times I have flown into and out of Europe. Fascinatingly enough for me is that although you visited Dublin, there is enough commonality with the urban and rural landscapes throughout Europe, that they are very distinguishable from those we have in the US and Canada. As with those who have already commented, the engine spool up, takeoff roll, and climb to the first few thousand feet are the highlights of a departure that completely occupy my attention. Personally, I am glad the airlines have moved their departure safety briefing to a video rather than live with the flight crew. My habit has been to thoroughly review the flight safety card upon sitting, and then almost glue my forehead to the window to catch all the outside activities until the flaps are finally retracted. A couple of items I saw in your video that have yet to be mentioned in the comments was the BAe-146 (another great flight worth experiencing if you ever have the chance) on the taxiway behind the Ryanair 737 @3:58. Also, for a second or two, you can catch the shadow of your aircraft @6:31. By the way, given your camera does take some exceptionally sharp videos, recording and showing the taxiing part of your departure is not wasted on me. I guess for those not interested, you could give a “jump to” timestamp in your comments. I am someone who cannot help but enjoy the entire experience. Again sir, I truly appreciate all the work you put into this post. I am looking forward to viewing your flight review of your return flight. Your videos about WestJet do have me interested in an alternative means for me to access Europe.

at 2:58 seeing that Ethiopian Dreamliner 787-8 takes me back to the amazing food they serve on their flights. I want to fly Ethiopian again.
