thankyou had some great holidays in weston when we were children i the 1960s me mother who is in her 80s now cried when it burnt down ! she was very happy when we took her to it when it was rebuilt !
It caught fire before I went on holiday in Devon with guide post 16 years ago which was a bit too energetic and by the end I nearly fell in the river canoeing.
It was sad that it burned down and hopefully nobody was injured or worse but I’m glad it was rebuilt. We saw it today as we are staying in Western so I decided to look it up as I saw a wreck of an old peer coming from the twin and thought it was the Grand but it wasn’t. So I looked it up to reminded me what actually happened and where it was rebuilt which was on the exact same site.
What Greeks I don't remember Greeks I remember a deep fat fryer and there was fire from the cooking area and it when into tons and tons of flames miles high no Greeks
Still, I guess it was cheaper than getting in a demo crew .... I expect they just happen to have all the rebuild pans just waiting in the wings - Not too suspicious then!
