Westside Gunn. Probably one of the most interesting and unique figures we have in rap today. From the concrete grew a rose and that rose in Westside Gunn. The diamond in the rough. Music is very much art but when you analyze the beauty of Westside’s music it’s just unparalleled and his recent album Hitler Wears Hermes 8 is a true testament to that. Others just make music to just make music but his music sounds like it belongs in museums and that’s by no exaggeration. It’s street and gritty but yet so luxurious.
Corrections: I was going off of the credits on Genius but the song "hitler musik" is actually produced by The Alchemist and "suedemutumbos" was produced by RZA.

'Allah Sent me' is by far one of hip hops most prolific hooks. 327 helped reframe Tyler's image as a rapper for anyone who wasn't a fan. His use of Stove God is unparalleled and after him everyone wanted Stove to fully swing into that vein of hip hop. He's something different. But also West and Conway aren't related. Conway just grew up around him Chinegun and Benny.

I think once I heard Elizabeth from Supreme Blientele, I was getting hooked on Westside Gunn. The concepts, the lyrics, the beats, the wrestling skits and promos. It was a combo of what I’ve been looking for. I hate that his wrestling parts on songs don’t exist now because of Vince McMahon, but his music is still consistently great. Can’t wait for the day I can see Westside Gunn in concert.

3-4 years ago I downloaded one of His albums from a russian site just because he had Westside (2pac beeing my GOAT) in his name...listening to it I was like WTF is this bullish (the album that has LOTTO track on it) I fully despised it. His style, his voice everything. AFter 2-3 random times the album came up on my playlist it started to grew on me. Then RU-vid started to bring random up random Griselda stuff up....and now i can call myself A huge Griselda fanboy. Its like back in 2000 when i started to listen hiphop back in my city I felt like no1 apreciated it...now i think the same that eeeeverybody around me is sleeping on the Griselda boyz (Remember im from Romania. When I first heard westside rap I was like wait a damn minute, his bars were hard, his beat selection is probably the best in the game and it felt different, when I listen to westside I think of westside not no other rappers and that incluedes all of Griselda. I was thrown off with how he utulized his voice at first but fucked with it heavy not much later.

My family came to the USA from Prussia now Germany and crossed at grand island and settled down in Niagara Falls NY for a short time before choosing syracuse as home Buffalo is the toughest city I've ever been too . I have mad stories about Buffalo. Westside and Griselda is what drives Cemtral and Western NY I'm glad to be alive while they are free and putting the heat out ❤
