I almost died at that exact same stream crossing. Stream was so high it was pushing me downhill on the bike. I stepped off and slipped on a slimy rock and completely fell in and immediately got swept downstream through a strainer and then out into the bigger creek just below. Bike bouncing down with me the whole way. I had a chainring tattoo on my shin for like five years. Bigger creek was even deeper and washed me down a little ways further. Barely crawled out just before it started down into a little gorge. Harrowing. Good times 😜 Great ride thanks for the memories
Funny, in that opening scene which looked like Teocalli, I almost lost a sock and shoe wading across that crossing a few years back. Brings back awesome memories.
Back in the day of 26" wheels and tubes, we used to ride slippery shale beds and dunk the hubs and BBs under water. I can remember grinding away in deep water and the tires floating out from under me and think nothing of it. My Trek 830 rigid never stood chance. This is the old school content we crave.
I rode this trail in August last year, I turned out of the first creek crossing a bit early and found a massive mud pile. The breaking bumps saved me from overshooting a couple of times 😂. My advise is put some cold snacks in the water at the last crossing before you leave, so you can enjoy something cold at the end. The altitude on the climb knocked me around, but def a fun trail.
Sweet! Thanks for showing what I missed, lol. I got all the way up to where the single track starts when a t-storm blew in and I got swamped. With lightning up on the ridge I wussed out and headed back, sucks. I rode it years ago and it looks just like I remember.
Nate, this video brings back amazing memories ! I rode Teo on the way to that year's Gathering. I had just torn my rotator cuff 4 days before in Park City. I had to ride CB! The fire road climb about killed me coming from CA. It's the one time I wish I had the 160e! lol We made it to the top and it started raining on the decent...It was a total experience! One I will never forget! 🤘
I was there last weekend for some fall colors. Even wrecked a pair of shoes while I was at it. Definitely have to put this trail on the list. CB has the goods
ok but did the Sour Patch Kids work? I know a friend successfully plugged a tubeless tire with a gummy bear and rode that thing like 300 miles so it seems at least plausible that the Sour Tubeless Patch could work.
lol, I wish I could say it worked on the outside of the rim, and while the fix was delicious, it was only temporary. I could see this working better as a plug in the tire for sure. ha
