Wet TV Remote?! Don't Panic. 

Guys. The title is really accurate. I actually thought What happen if it doesn't work. I'd be Grounded. So literally DON'T PANIC. take some rice and immerse the remote into it.. After 2-3 hrs. It should be working Fine

Hello guys I missed and washed my remote with my sheets as well. I was so worried about what to do, so I just put my remote in front of heater. My heater is electric and it gets cool also. I did like she said but just put it in front of the heater to dry more faster. You could probably use a blow dry as well.

I gathered my bed sheets up and put them in washer before it started to agitate I realized the Directtv remote was in them. The batteries fell out and backing was off it was soaked. Waiting until tomorrow to see if it works.

Treated it just like I treat my kids. Smacked it upside the head and it started working

I put my remote in the washing machine by accident. I took the batteries out and stuck it in a container with rice. Hope it works. Thank you for your video.

I have an older remote, my husband knocked it into my cup of tea!!! I grabbed a rag and started to whip The liquid out of the temote, So far most of the tea came out,thank You so much for posting this video Lucky I saved the old remote, but it does Not work on the tv itself,sound and On and off.

Moisture causes corrosion under the surface mount components, seen it many times.As you can't clean the corrosion from under them,you would be very lucky to have a working remote, long term.

I accidentally wash mine in the washing machine doing laundry 2 days after still not working...helpppppp 😭😭

I’m trying this Method tonight. But I’m going to go through tv withdraw tonight. What I’m concerned about is my remote Controll set in a glass with water in the bottom of the glass for Over 24 hours. I absent minded set it there thinking it was the glass container that I usually keep it in. The room was as dark and Im 66 yrs old . Do I need to say more!

I just spilled it on my remote like 20 seconds ago and nothing happened and I freaked out and it went nuts and I knocked out for like, 19

So, I spilt my root bear on my blanket so I put in the washer and I guess my remote was in the blanket as well soooo yeah

So i was watching RU-vid using tv,then suddenly my Remote tv fell in a cup with cold water,So then i was like omg,,.then i wipe the remote until its Dried,Then when i tried to close the tv,What it do Just SPAMMING Slow Volume,I was panic,My brother and mom and dads dint know anything cuz its just happen like 5 minutes ago...I was panic and i dont know what to do i go to my room and laid on the bed,Then i search on yt how to fix it,the remote condition is When i try High the volume,It went down by itself,Noones controling it,So i dont know what to do,I unplug the tv,But i need wifi,And the plug that connect to tv connect to wifi too..so i Plug it back in and then The tv went on,I WAS LIKE WTF DO I DO???I am Panic and Ran into my room,..I already Tried to Dry it,But the problem is,.The tv will not turn off,It just spam,ing slow volume,when i try Press any button,It wont work,...Pls help me......Tell me what im supposed to do...
