My fave group...Marti has a beautiful voice... Saw the Wets in London O2 December ...absolutely brilliant...a very special time I will never forget....taken to the concert by someone l loved very much...sadly now ended but I will always cherish that time. Wish Marti was still with the Wets....not the same since he went solo but he is still so amazing..❤❤❤💖💖
We were at the Playhouse in Edinburgh last night Easter Sunday. ❤🐰🐣🏴 Marti certainly raised the roof, such a gentleman. Loved every minute of it. Brilliant show. Love to love Marti. ❤
Always loved the Wets, seen them countless times over the years. In there prime, they were so amazing. Marti was god like to the girls, amazing looking guy and his voice was the same. Band were tight. The only thing i will say is Marti's voice is not the same anymore, nice but not got that deep soul ness that could wrap you in cotton wool. Time takes it toll on everyone, i will always remember the wonderful live concerts of these boys live. Awesome xx
one best voices all time in music business and bands and one best live concerts filmed had this on vhs back in 90s my dad bought it think it was hmv or might been our price mid 90s liverpool haha :)
Probably one of their best performances. I see them in late 90s at Wembley and still remember it. As a kid I hated them and one day my brain just clicked and I realised how great they was. I can you give you everything Angel Eyes Shed A Tear Wishing I Was Lucky Sweet Little Mystery Just a band I’m glad I got to see and Marti had parts at the end of Angel Eyes and I can Give, where he went crazy holding a note for 16 bars. Just heaven
"There's a road a man has to take, there's a road filled with my mistakes"......genius lyrics and when MP throws his head back and belts the words out.....just wow!!! I am in awe of his voice..💙
Wow!! Just came across this Concert, after searching for a random Wets song. I was there that night - I had completely forgotten - but then it was 21 years ago!
Always loved their live performances and this gig with the orchestral arrangement is just brilliant! Still one of their best ever - just pure class!! xx
Great singer in all fairness. I grew up with them from 87 to 1994 or so, and while I think he over-sings a little on the first album, by 1989s "Holding Back The River" the band is at their peak. "Angel Eyes" is one of the greatest songs of the last 40 years. It's a pity talent is gone from music now and all we're left with is auto-tune and rap over a trap beat. Marty is as cool as Elvis here!
Five is many years? ...since when? o.0 Their big reunion was when they got back together for the greatest hits tour and then recorded a new, fantastic album. Unfortunately it doesn't look like there'll be any more albums from them. :|
