I feel for you, being ill so often. Im 58 and, apart from covid and one other, hellish, covid/flu-like lurgy, i havent had a cold since 2019. I think the red-light therapy and the cold therapy and Wim Hof breathing have helped. I also have a grounding sheet on my bed and gave up alcohol. I eat Reese's Peanut Butter Cups at weekends only 😂 When my son was little, i was hideously ill every 3 months, so perhaps it's our children giving us all the lurgs. Having said that, my son is now 20 and since getting glandular fever 3 years ago, seems to have a perma-cold. I havent caught it from him, even once. Anyhow...i sympathise and am glad youre better! Oops, i forgot to say: my rule is that if it's already raining, i don't go. But if it starts whilst im out, im willing to keep going. I do have all the right gear, which definitely makes a huge difference. I really have no excuse!! Thanks for this video.
IM in Canada and im kind jealous how you guys there have a mild winter that allows for riding almost year round. Yes England is notorios for the wet weather but that is better than deep freeze that we get here.
As a cyclist who cross-trains by kayaking, I’m happy (and quite amused 😄) to see dry-suit technology transfer to cycling. When you are paddling, you get splashed with copious amounts of ice-cold water, hypothermia is a real and present danger. 🥶 If you can make rain gear that doesn’t impede leg motion- essential in cycling, not so much in kayaking- why not? ☺️👍🏻
got those Lake-Shoes two weeks ago and they seem to be better than my fizik shoes. HAve to test them on a longer ride, during commuting they've been fine until now. the only thing I don't like about them is that BOA adjuster. you can't release them in tiny steps if your shoes are too tight. you must open and re-tighten them.
I treat them with leather conditioner to enhance water protection. They will eventually become wet but its the best i have found as a general cold / wet glove.
erm... no. I've been wearing them all winter which is why I'm saying they keep my feet warm. I've no reason to mislead people. With waterproof socks, they're great
