Here is a few examples of Hunting techniques that are effective while Spearfishing in New Zealand. They are useful when targeting Kingfish, Snapper, Boarfish and much more.
Ditch the plastic container as condensation will occur and moisture can't escape. Store on a grate with paper towel and no covering and the fish will air dry and improve for up to 7 days. The container you showed I'd go with if consuming as sashimi simply because you don't want the exterior to dry out.
When viz is low and you are forced to take a shot without extending your arm, do you have any tips for this? I’ll concur I tend to hit high as this situation come up a lot for me in varying viz conditions. Short of shooting a shooter gun is there any accuracy technique for a hip shot?
We all do it at times in the heat of the moment, but like you say a shorter gun is the best fix for this. Having a variety of speargun lengths to cater for varying visibility and hunting. The hip shot is a hard one to master....
@@WettieNZ we get particulate that settles on the bottom, so it can be 10m viz one moment and 4m the next. It’s tuff. Thx for the answer. I think I generally have too long a gun is the problem.
