I’ve reached an age in life where being completely consumed by a new artist rarely happens. I didn’t think it would happen again in my life. But Weyes Blood music has a certain blend of elements combined that somehow unlocked that long closed door of wonder again. I am so grateful to have that feeling again. Listening to her albums in quiet introspection can be a truly spiritual and emotionally cathartic experience. I don’t use terms like that lightly.

Yes same. I'm in my early 40s and I never thought I would be obsessed with a new album and artist again but along comes Titanic Rising and WB. I am grateful - it makes me feel young. She really is something else.

@@MrPanacea999 I understand. I keep coming back to it. And have gotten into her older recordings lately. There is something hard to describe that is both familiar and yet peerless in her style.

I love her. She clearly is an old soul but has a really caring way about her. Oh and the cherry on the cake is how wicked smart she is. So articulate when she describes the meaning of her song. One last thing, she is so damn beautiful!!

i don't care for her music very much, but i really admire her for her stream of consciousness, the thought she articulates into everything and how she manages to speak on it. i do like generation why, maybe the rest needs to grow on me. but overall, her artistry is undeniable and i'm better having heard of her.

laugh all you want but you could make any of these beautiful songs into ugly doom metal songs and it would still work, especially Generation Why, don't know why maybe i'm insane but when I listen to that song I could totally hear Burning Witch as her backing band, I would take ten years off my life just to hear that.

True, but it's hard to know how to responsibly use it until you're inundated with it and realize its potential effects (addiction, laziness, depression, etc)

I don't know if you still agree with this message you wrote two years ago. I agree with you, it's just that sometime you can't choose, specially if you have too work with it and don't have all your friends living next door, you can spend sooooo much time in front of this narrow square thing.
