8 years later and they’re the pinnacle of success, teams envy us. Ownership is top notch and they put people in power who have made brilliant decisions in coaching and player development roles. The Jets are the team that got a girl in the fifth grade and haven't done shit since, occasionally getting to second base but never going any further while the Giants bring in a steady stream of girls sometimes even a hottie. Occasionally the Jets get a little cocky but are quickly put in their place by their peers while the Giants look on and laugh. As bad as the Giants can be, they never quite reach the depths of the Jets who seem to forever be trailing behind them for eternity.

The Jets have been cursed since after Super Bowl 3. Joe Namath must have conversed with the Devil and he said: If the Jets win this Super Bowl, you don't have to give them anything else for the rest of my life. Boom. It's led to clusters of bad coaches, bad quarterbacks and bad drafting. Perhaps the stupidest decision was to draft Kyle Brady over Warren Sapp. If the Jets had Warren Sapp, they would have made the playoffs from his rookie year to the time he retired.

It's hard to be second-banana in the NY/NJ area unless it's hockey but hockey is Canadian so that doesn't count. :) The Nets, Mets, and Jets, generic in name and lackluster in the game.

John Wagner you are an idiot. The jets are a GREAT franchise and have made excellent drafting choices. To this day, I still think Brady was a better pick than Sapp. You are not a true Jet fan and NEVER will be.

That's a;ways the way it is, just like the Mets. The Jets have these little waves where they are good for a year or 2 & get buzz, but the Giants like the Yankees have been around for a hundred years & are the teams in NY. I say this as a Mets & Jets fan.

It sucks watching the Giants and Jets play so inconsistently but at least the Giants win a SB once in a while or look decently competitive. The Jets got oh-so-close two years in a row and have been mediocre to bad ever since, I was more disappointed last year than I was the previous four because the Jets HAD it and then fucked it up. The only good thing is that Wilson is out for the Seahawks. Gosh, what a time for me to be reading this when I see Collins not having anybody up in the bullpen while Colon gets rocked when every goddamn game counts at this point. Bowles finally showed some emotion, too bad the Jets had to be down 1-2 with a tough slate of games coming up and Fitz looking like utter SHIT. Fuck the Mets for going with Tebow, a second-division signing if anything from a playoff contender and fuck the Jets for not changing their gameplan at any point against the Chiefs.
