I lived in the Lehigh Valley growing up but loved to tune in to WFIL . They had the coolest jocks by far. Its signal wasn’t nearly as strong but what a great station.
The slideshow is almost as interesting as the airchecks - that image of the "Big Mac Attack" van brings back memories of a car in my college's parking lot many years later - even in the mid 1980s a bumper sticker for that WFIL promo remained - somehow - on an old Ford Maverick! By then WFIL had changed formats a few times (and might have returned at that point to a nostalgic take on their Famous 56 format).I'm thinking the possibility of winning anything by having it on your car had way, way passed.
@@EllisFeaster No silly :) I love your airchecks. I was simply referring to the individual bits on this WFIL aircheck. I believe you have released them in bits and pieces previously over the years.
