I was only 13years old when theses stores were open those were great times many childhood memories especially child world in Ford city awww man I got kinda emotional thinking about some people I grew up with that as gone now I'm sorry yall I have to go peace ✌ 😢😢

In 1984 I was 15, and lived in the Chicago area, and WGN was a channel we regularly watched. This brings back a lot of memories. It’s wild to think my family could’ve been watching this program back in 1984.

When you’re a 12 year old in 1984 I hated most of these commercials because they interrupted a show I was watching & now more than ever I appreciate these commercials so much! I doubt I will have much nostalgia for today’s commercial!

Thanks! I use Amarec and Avidemux to digitize and deinterlace the footage, and I also use Avidemux to resize the video to 960x720

Merri Dee is the voice of the “Tickle Me” movie billboards <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="530">8:50</a> Squire Fridell as “the Toyotaman,” right around the same time he took over the role of Ronald McDonald. <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="786">13:06</a> Joe DiMaggio in one of his many Mr. Coffee commercials

"The Student Prince" had the singing voice of Mario Lanza, but the role is actually played by Edmund Purdom. Lanza had quit the picture after refusing to accept direction from the director. MGM sued him, and got an injunction preventing him from singing anywhere, whether live, on TV, in movies, or on the radio, for the time left on his MGM contract. They reached a compromise, in which Lanza agreed to let them use his singing voice in the movie. Lanza had been a real jerk during his time at MGM, and MGM was glad to be rid of him. Ann Blyth, who played Kathie, was both a fine dramatic actress and a classically trained soprano. And much more professional than Lanza.
