My sister had the worst experience. She met and fell in love with an Arab man. He asked her to marry him met my parents my father gave his blessings. When She met his parents they were disrespectful and racist to her. They forbid the marriage and the most he said was that she should give him time to work on them. When my father heard he was beyond furious. He withdraw his blessings called them and was adamant that his black daughter was too good for this kind of family. Their son had not even gone to university and his daughter was in medical school. My sister did eventually agree that it just couldn't work and they went their separate ways. It is important not to love someone so much that you must love yourself less in order to be with them.
It's not the fault of your sister's lover or fiancee so why did she abandon him if his family refused her he loved her and wanted to marry her she is marrying him not his family

@@azzizdeblida7983 Islam abolished slavery pretty much. What it allows is captives of war. But on certain conditions. Slaves can only be caught in war, no exceptions. The master must treat him how he would treat his family, and himself with proper accommodation and the same food as you eat. Islam even says you should help the individual with work. Any physical violence against the individual means you have to release them under sharia law. If the individual converts to Islam, then you have to free the individual. A slave can go to the sharia courts and make a contract with his master, that he will do a period of work usual 20 years, and then he will become free. Islam has no discrimination among individuals of different race, everyone is the same regardless of race. If you wish to marry the individual, you have to set the individual free. The Quran calls for the freeing of slaves, either the owner manumitting the slave, or a third party purchasing and freeing the slave. The freeing of slaves is encouraged is an act of benevolence, and expiation of sins. It is believed to be the one of the greatest acts you could do and P.Muhammad highly encouraged the freeing of slaves. The Quran recognizes slavery as a source of injustice, as it places the freeing of slaves on the same level as feeding the poor. Slaves can also buy their freedom in instalments which is encouraged in the Quran. And slaves can also progress higher up on the social platform, and there were many examples of that in the past, with the mamluk dynasty of Egypt being founded by Circassian slaves. But none of this matters because all Muslim nations agreed to ban slavery in the 1960s admitting that Islam’s goal was to slowly get rid of slavery, by choking and discouraging its practices, like P.Muhammad did with alcohol. Peace!

Wanting to preserve your race, is not racism. If a father refuses his daughter to marry a black man, he shouldn't be called racist. People dont know the definition of racism so will call everyone who thinks differently a racist.
I am black and I agree with this statement. Most people will even prefer to date people within their own race. How much more a father expecting his child to do the same. There is nothing wrong with that. However, the problem comes in when the parents don't respect their child's wishes. The thing to always remember is your child has now become an adult. They are supposed to make decisions for themselves.

@Daniel Khan The person isn't saying its important however it is fair to look at such a thing and if someone can't support a family it makes sense why some women won't try to marry them. On the flip side if a woman is too old or can't have kids many guys don't want to marry them even if they are religious. Humans are superficial creatures and the facts are people are going to have preferences and they aren't haram.
@Daniel you need some wealth to get married, also most people want similar lifestyles to what they are used to. This is very logical and plain to understand.
As a Palestinian who married a Pakistani, we were brought up in the same community, we went through the same schools and shared a lot of the hobbies. But after marriage, I realized that even though people are all similar outside the house, inside the house people are very cultural. The little things when you engage your self in an interracial marriage become eventually big, like different food, language, lack of family compatibility and so on...we ended the marriage on good terms between me and her, and ended up marrying a Palestinian like myself and things are better, an easier marriage without any doubt. People behave in their houses differently than outside, children of immigrant parents are more cultured than we think.

I was in a relationship with a Muslim black girl from Caribbean. We, went to the same college, had the same set of classes for almost 2 years. We both had the same goal in our minds, both becoming Nurses. I felt like she was my missing piece. I loved her so much, we been together for 3.5 year. When I tried to introduce her to my family they were really upset, called her names insulted her and her family, with out even getting to know her. I understand why we had to break up, but I felt like losing her, I lost a part of me. I pry that my family could just understand. She was not a criminal, she was a Muslim, she had goals and ideas similar to mine. But it’s all gone. Almost 4 years gone and 3 extra years of school for nothing.
I’m so sorry you went through that but you shouldn’t give up on her if that’s who you truly love try to bring a respectable sheikh who your parents respect who is not racist to advocate for your union

We see the following regarding the kafa’a for marriage in the classic Shafi’i manual of Islamic law titled ‘Umdat as-Salik wa ‘Uddat an-Nasik (Reliance of the Traveller and Tools of the Worshipper): (Taken from the section of Kafa’a in the chapter of Nikaah in the text) Translation: Kafa’a (Suitability in marriage for a female) is in the lineage (ancestry of the man), and in religiousness, and his being a free man (not a slave), and in his profession, and his being free of defects that can cause the annulment of the marriage. And the ajami (non-Arab) is NOT suitable for an Arab woman, and a non-Qurayshi is NOT suitable for a Qurayshi woman (Quraysh was the tribe of the Holy Prophet (S)), nor is a non-Hashimi or non-Muttalabi suitable for a Hashimi or Muttalabi woman (Hashimites are the members of the clan to which the Holy Prophet (S) belonged to, and Muttalabites are the descendants of the grandfather of the Holy Prophet (S)). Nor is an immoral man suitable for a virtuous woman, nor is a slave suitable for a free woman, nor is a freed slave or one whose ancestors were touched by slavery suitable for a (free) woman whose ancestors were free. Nor is a man of a lowly profession suitable for the daughter of someone with a noble profession, such as a tailor wanting to marry a tradesman’s daughter. So we see that the following are NOT kafa’a (suitable for marriage) for women: Non-Arab men for Arab women Non-Qurayshi man for a Qurayshi woman Non-Hashimi or non-Muttalabi for a Hashimi or Muttalabi woman Sinful man for virtuous a woman A slave or a freed slave for a free woman A free man but one whose ancestors might have been slaves for a free woman whose ancestors were not slaves A man with a lowly profession for a woman whose father has a noble profession

I'm very conflicted with this message as being raised in a Christian family. When I wanted knowledge about this very issue, the church was nowhere near as insightful and accepting as this Muslim holy man. Most of my life, I have had questions about religion. I can only speak about what I've been exposed to and my personal frame of reference. Everything I've ever been told by the church about other religions has always been brutally negative; but when I have gone to religions outside of my Christian upbringing, they mostly show respect and reverence to other religions. I witness so much hipocracy in Christianity, definitely conflicted about what to believe. Am I the only one who feels this way?

You are beautiful and your worth is with Allaah swt. I had a similar experience and i begged Allaah for a sign to sooth my heart. When i opened the Qur’an the page opened up to the following verses:- “...and do not let their words grieve you, for all honour due to power belongs to Allaah he sees and hears all”. From that day onwards i realised people are worth nothing. Stop allowing one person to take up so much of your heart and thoughts. These men are not worth your tears. Smile... for when you are happy it winds people up. I would not be surprised if he ends up with a daughter who has ‘black features’. For Allaah is Just. These people need to fear Allaah’s judgement.

It saddens me to hear you speck of the the discrimination that goes on within Nigeria its people. I think the only thing that will change that is education. What your parents do not understand is from the outside the world views you all as Nigerians, and if some other country comes against Nigeria, they will not care what ethic group you come from. Maybe next time your mother asks you what tribe that they person comes from, tell her he comes from the tribe called Nigeria. I recently saw this wedding of 2 Nigerians on this television show called 'bridezillas'. The bride and groom were from different ethic group of Nigeria, it was so beautiful they showed the different ethnics groups cultural wedding ceremonies and customs, they honored both customs in the ceremony. Your parents need to see the successful marriage of a couple from different ethnics groups. They maybe fearful of their customs and traditions being lost, but it doesn't have to be.
We should don't forget that We are humans We need each other always Live with love it's beautiful I hope you are have a great life guys Lots of love from Afghanistan 🤲☝️🇦🇫🥰♥️
all praises to the most high imam and I swear to Allah and I am black guy .... the paradise will be entered first by black guy, said the prophet Mohamed
Here's my story and I'll keep it short: I met an Arabic man, very respectful and nice man. we were so much in love that we talked about getting married. Things were so serious that I introduced him to my brothers (cause I lost both parents). However, I was so disappointed when I asked to meet his family. He always came with excuses, keep me from meeting them, until 1day he said: "Sorry if I didn't tell you the truth. I just don't want to hurt your feelings" "Tell me, I need to know" I said With his head down, he said "I love you but my family will not welcome you as my future wife" Why not? Did they already reserve someone for you? No! He said. After talking for about an hour he finally said this: "My parents don't want any of us to marry a black person... but I love you. We can get married without their consents. Let's just do the ceremony here in U.S. not in Egypt" I was so disappointed to find this issue within our religion. I couldn't take it, we finally broke up!😥
But he loved you. And parents may have different tought but you can't change them if they are strict. right?. We can't make everyone happy at the same time 😥. Love is rare. Don't lose it again. Best of luck for your future.
I've been meeting brothers and be felling welcomed. This topic has been in my heart and mind as I see the hatred for the African and African-American people all over the World. Thank you for this teaching it had bought joy to my heart and easy to my mind. Alhamdulillah
I’m an African American, I go to the Masjid and Salam my Muslims brothers, but nobody Salams me back. They ignore me, and act as if they don’t hear me. There is a cultural separation in the Muslim community and it’s truly sad and frustrating for a me as a person of color. Sometimes I honestly don’t even want to go to the masjid because of how I’m treated by other Muslims of different cultures.
The angles replied on you instead, that what our prophet told us if someone didn't reply back the greeting. The prophet peace be upon on him said too: people who has envoy or arrogants in their hearts even a tiny bit they will not be in paradise Some Muslims in the west had westernized and start seeking the materialistic things and money but thier hearts are empty and forgot about being true Muslims. They're the poor ones not you, Allah bless you
It is best to have taqwa and not follow man made rules of cultures by letting them rule your life. You can't have both. *Either* culture *or* Islam. The prophet's many marriages to different women serve as an example to us to follow.
I have to say, before I converted to Islam, I thought racist attitudes in Islam were not an issue. Well, I was wrong. Although the "race" issue is not explicit, it is implicit because "culture" is generally tied to "race." It got me thinking about which system has a stronger influence on community: whether religion or culture. From my experience in my 46 years of life, I hate to admit it, but culture is stronger than religion in terms of general influence because the breadth of culture is wider than religion. Religion is only one part of culture. There are other things that bind a community that give it its distinct identity: music, language, literature, food, dance, child-rearing, clothing, the history of a group, etc. I find that most people who marry interracially don't have much concern or regard for their native culture. In fact, they subconsciously try to distant themselves as much as possible. To prove that culture is stronger than religion, I'll give you two stories to help illustrate this. My wife and I are black Muslims. I'm black American. She's Somali. When we moved to America, we joined a mosque, but most of its members were Arab. Outside of Islam, we had nothing in common. Our tastes in music, some politics, views of history and just general mannerisms were quite different. And the whole vibe of the place was strictly Middle Eastern "ways of doing". The Arabs there always looked out for other Arabs, not us. We were background figures. Same thing happened when we visited a mosque largely led by Indians. It wasn't until we found a predominately black mosque in Maryland that my wife and I were comfortable. Another story was when my wife tried to get a job through a female Arab contact who was Muslim at our mosque. Come to find out later the Arab woman decided to go with a female Arab Christian from Lebanon. So see, culture does have its pull.
I’m somali and I’m dating a Sudanese but I’m so scared my family to find out because they are so strict idk what to do I been so depressed thinking what will they think of me or will they cut all ties for me 🙏🏽please guys pray for me
Just soo happened I saw your previous comment from onother video (same time as this) How can you be dating and be married dont you think that's not good End the marriage if you find it toxic then date But the two never goes well together
Do you live in your parent's house? Do your parents know any Sudanese? Maybe you should have a general discussion with your parents about different people and see where they heads are. You can also make up a story about a fake encounter with someone that did not like you, because you were of a different ethnic group of somali. That way it would force your parent to see how bad it is to not like someone or misjudge someone of a different group. Just a suggestion
Asalamu alaikum, this is a good topic to touch on. I am black, and my husband is white (Irish and French). His parents didn’t have a problem, but my parents did in the beginning. Once they seen how good he was, they relaxed, now they love him. I understood why my parents felt that way in the beginning especially since they seen so much racism in the south of USA when they were younger. Allhumdulillah that they were able to see that he has a good heart, and his intentions were good.
I didn't hear this but the title hit home big time!!!! In my late 20's I fell in love with a muslim sudanee. My parents didn't approve and were so against it. I am 44 and still single. I am now confident that they ruined my life and that I shouldn't have listened to them
The creator gave us this one life here on earth, and the creator allows us to choose how we are going to live our lives. I am sorry that you allowed your parents to make that choice for you, and now you are miserable. This is a lesson to you that it is always better to make your own choices, because you are the only one that has to live with the outcome.
Love is love.. regardless of culture or financial situations... if 2 can be happy.. rich or poor. But still happy in a relationship... let them be if you can not help to lift them up...
The first transgression committed by Iblis was racism when he refused to bow to Adam due to him being made of clay. As servants of Allah we should always work to remember this.
Oh yes God made Adam in his image that means God is black and Sheitan was white and that explains why his off spring that infiltrated the human gene still despises the children of the Most High the people who look like the soil of the ground the true human being
There's different soul tribes and people connect through the soul so similarity will be souls recognising eachother and nothing to do with race. I can only tolerate real love in this world
I've heard that souls recognize each other but have never heard of Soul Tribes. I like that. I'm gonna look further into that. Thank you @Nina Adams :)
@@BigPicture717 hi Magenta, I am so glad you find the concept if tribes interesting. Being multidimensional, I was able to become perceptive to the oneness of human beings as web of energy but within it each has an energetic mechanism and purpose. With this understanding we find that there is no such thing as negative and positive energy but just part of the design that comes to change and mould us... if you are interested then follow me on instagram @multidimensional_therapist Wish you a beautiful day sprinkled with magic 💫
If people thought about death more and understood that everyone ends up in dust...I think we'd understand how not smart it is to look down on other people or place people on a pedestal because they turn red when angry, purple when they bruise, pink when they blush or because they can handle the sun better than them. The level of jahiliyyah we're at...May Allah guide us. Allahumma Ameen
Shell Mufti Menk brother you said the undeniable indisputable and irrefutable truth thanks soo much for such great advice I had to learn the hard way Alhamdulillah today all praise to Allah I'm doing well
I am French and I follow your sermons which are very enriching. Would it be possible to put subtitles so that I (and us French ) can understand what you are saying please. thank you, and peace on you.
Sadly here in pakistan everyone makes fun of black ppl, everyone laughs it up and think its funny. Even if the parents are looking for someone for their son/daughter they want someone who doesn't have a dark skin colour
And the actual fact is that there are no interational marriages there are always intro rational marriages..... for beyond the epidermis we exactly all Human...
I’m glad he touched on this I know brother who was going to marry a sister and her parents Denied. And I had nothing to do it how many surah he knew out of the Quran or if he attended Jummah every week and everything to do with his skin tone.
I DISAGREE BECAUSE THERE IS A CONTRADICTION IN THE QURAN If we say that Allah created all of us equal, it contradicts multiple chapters and verses where slavery was allowed and officialized by the Allah. The Quran even gives laws about how to treat slaves . It even autorizes a man to sleep with his wive and his slaves. So I am confused about the term Equality in creation. Please let everybody comment on this question because it is causing a lot of confusion and disagreement between us here in Algeria. Wallah, c'est difficile à comprendre mes freres et soeurs. salam
For those who think they are better than a black person... I always say what make them think they are better than a black person? Seriously what. Do they have anything that a black person doesn’t or can’t have? Can they do anything a black person can’t do? What are they that a black person is not or can’t be? Whattt? When I hear things like you can’t marry a black person, sometimes it makes me laugh.😊 Personally I am black and proud to be black. There’s no one better than me bec I’m black. No one. And by the way For those who don’t know who black people are, i ll say go dig deep into history, the real history, not those narrated by the insecure ones who started or greatly parcipated in degrading the black race. My beautiful black brothers and sisters, respect and love yourselves!! If someone doesn’t want you simply bec you re black; that’s their loss!😍
That’s crazy ! African American men and women are are no different then any other person on this planet, period .Color of the skin make no difference, the character of a person is what’s important. LOVE , LOVE AND LOVE !
@@olamideobatomi8006 muslim men can marry christian and jewish women (who actually follow their faith not just christian or jew by name). Muslim women can only marry muslim men. This is because the children will take after the father’s religion and that is why its imperative the husband is a muslim.
