Thanks for your videos. My wife and I (of similar age to you) will be heading from the Whitsundays to Cairns and then back down to Newcastle starting mid September on a Beneteau 41 sailing boat. Your Videos have been very helpful determining places to stop along the way. These give good detail of each location and the surroundings before we make/plan this trip. Thanks again.
Hi John and Kylie firstly loving your videos so thankyou for bringing us along on you travels. We will be spending a few weeks up your way in Sept again on our trailer boat. We have been researching Displacement boats last year or so and love the Clipper 40 so was ecstatic when I found your channel. John I would love to hear your thoughts on the Clipper, What you like, what you don't like, what to look for when buying one. Love the idea of a single screw for lower costs regards maintenance and general running costs. Been looking at the Integrity's as well just love the idea of slowing down to 6-8 knots regardless of what we end up with Cheers Paul.
Thanks Paul, we love the boat, the integrity are good too, we looked at them before purchasing the Clipper ( much better $ at the time). We have made a few mods, mainly electrical to be more self sufficient off grid (solar and Lithium). We are cruising at 5.5 knots now towing a lure consuming 7-8 litres per hour which suits our wallet. 👍
Hi Kylie how do you run the power for 8 hours out in your boat ? We have a generator/ inverter / solar for our big dometic fridge on the flybridge I’m super keen to know how you do it I make yogurt when I’m in our berth only …. Never failed my recipe seems easier I’ll send it to you if you like ?
