Although im 2 years older than you ive always looked up to you in the content world. I know the exact feeling you mean when you say its really hard to appreciate what you've already done without jumping straight to "whats next" but on a much smaller scale of course. First it was when I reach 20 avg viewers ill be happy, then reaching 50 avg viewers, then 100, 150, 200 then its when I make enough to go full time ill be happy, etc. its so hard not to always want more when everyone around you is also doing the same thing and the fear of letting off the gas even a little bit and being left behind/ regressing in growth that youve worked so hard for is such a hard mentality to deal with. personally I would've never guessed you were dealing with all of these things so to hear it from someone like you makes me feel a little less alone in thought and shows me that the feeling never really goes away. its a part of the job unfortunately. keep killing it man this video meant a lot to me i'll always be rooting for you!

As a creator of the same age and in the same niche as you, I felt this Timmy. Obviously you're 10x more successful than I am, so you must feel it to a much larger extent, but so much of what you're saying rings true to me too. This video is REALLY helpful to someone like me because it makes me know that the motions I go through are valid and others in the same profession feel the same - especially the "what's next" mentality, but also to smaller creators who want to properly prepare themselves for what's likely to come as they progress. Woah yeah I’ve always dealt with my depression and stress with putting on my headphones listening to music, playing guitar, playing video games for hours and my girlfriend has always said I should talk to a therapist, I just always feel like I shouldn’t have to pay someone to listen to my issues. But maybe I just need to be open minded and know that people wanna help and wanna see happiness. Thank you Timmy me being 31 and you being in your early 20’s it truly is inspiring and eye opening ❤
First thing I wanna say is that no matter who you are or how amazing you are, there will always be critique, cuz everyone’s ideal person/streamer is different. And second is, personally I went through about 2 years of severe chronic depression and what really helped for me was just focusing on the moment right now and sometimes listening to music that gives a serene vibe/feel (for me it’s lofi girl/HOME) and just feel genuinely happy with what I do in that moment. Last but not least, I’m super glad that you’re in a better place and that you’re getting help, it means a lot to me and im sure im speaking for the rest of us when I say we wish you the absolute best. Timmy, you're doing great. We've all dealt with depression before so you're not alone. Some things I learned in life growing up that may help you. 1 - Find your self happiness. What makes you happy without relying on any substances? For me it was finding the gym and working towards my health as an example. You'll find your own. 2 - From there, be yourself. Easier said than done, but once you find yourself you'll understand. It'll be easier to block out noise and you'll know what you're looking towards. Good luck buddy

Timmy, I've watched content creators for a lot of years, and my all time FPS hero was also Shroud, and for the longest time, when I was asked who I thought the greatest of all time was, it was no question, Shroud. That's changed tho Timmy, and now, I lead with, iitztimmy. Shroud is still great, but to me, you're top of the list now. You got this dude and I'm so glad you're okay, keep doing what makes you okay, whether that's streaming, or not.

This really hits close to home. I remember I was going through some things from 2020 to summer 2021. I thought I could deal with it on my own but I couldn't and I broke down in front of my family. Once I talked to them and it helped me a lot. I have to say, if I didn't talk to them then, who knows how I would've reacted to the deaths I experienced months later. Hey bro a lot of us have struggled with depression man. I dealt with it for 3 years from the moment Covid started and barely started to get back to myself a few months ago. It’s not easy and it fucking sucks I was getting zero sleep (1-3 hours) everyday for the first year and a half. Take ur time man life is hard and getting over the obstacles is harder we believe in you.

Depression is us believing the lies we hear in our head about ourselves. The negative comments are trying to make you a victim of comparison. When people see what they want in themselves in someone else, it can either inspire or discourage. You can’t control how people receive you, but you can control what you allow yourself to receive. Veteran here, I love that you mentioned you're getting the behavioral health because I can talk about it all day but you're the one with the platform leading by example. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 If you have the means, I encourage y'all to seek behavioral health assistance no one's an island, if you're struggling, the world's better with you in it, we are all we have. Reach out, do a buddy check on your loved ones. I do em every week on my old army friends. It's not just us as veterans going through 22 a day either, your neighbors your friends and family probably all feel/relate to your struggles a lot more than you'd think. As someone who is passively...well yeah fill in the blanks on the dark spots within struggle, i tended to be the friend to let you talk it out and listen while making some sheepish joke to deflect how I actually feel that day if I was asked. Hello timmy, when i was at your age i feel the same way you feel. the feeling of being stuck or trapped on something and not entirely sure what or how to get out, i just want to say we cant change the past im not saying forget the past or something like that, we eventually learn how to deal with it. this past month an encounter with nature helps me a lot in my mental health. doing some mental health retreat help me a lot. i suggest to take some retreat with nature i mean no internet, no gadgets just a activity with nature, like a vacation on a farm. thats what i did and boy it help me SOOOOO MUCH. theres so much in this world that we need to encounter. Just be openminded on everything, understand the feelings of others and you will discover more about yourself. Stay safe timmy! Love you bro!

Ive been struggling with depressions/anxiety for many years and actually for me streaming was a way to be social again and actually removes my anxieties because I get so into it. Not saying everyone should game if youre feeling down but for me gaming has always been a escape to 'happyness' since I was a 6 year old (34 now) it's the one thing im really good at and streaming def makes me open up more to people because it's not face to face right it's not irl where social anxieties kicks in real quick even though I never hit above 10 viewers I love the handful of people I have in my community and they give me great support I def get alot of points Timmy is saying hopefully everything turns out great for him you just have to find your way through it on your own way and pace. Like he said setting goals was a massive thing for me Ive set gaming goals to keep me busy my Pathfinder has 59.000 Kills otm and im the #1 Pathy of the Netherlands so Ive already reached some things I really wanted in Apex and having goals to grind always kept me happy and busy throughout everything so keep your goals strong Timmy

I went through similar things that you went through. Never being satisfied after accomplishing a major milestone or goal is just your drive to be better. We just want more for ourselves and trying to navigate through life with little to no direction makes it difficult when we aim for perfection which is ultimately just impossible. Everything unravels with time and once you figure out what more you want everything else will start to fall into place. When I watch itztimmy play val/apex back then, his behavior reminds me of aceu. Really chill, insane mechanic and having fun. Noticed later videos, the mood shift. He pumps out video every day, doesn't make any casual comment, laugh and just kept trying to be competitive. I'm happy to see itztimmy taking a mental break. Timmy, It takes a lot of strength to talk about yourself like this. Thank you for bringing awareness to the fact that mental illness is just like any other illness, you need to seek help if you are ill. We all have struggles, sometimes you have to ask for help... taking that first step is always the hardest but will lead to healing!

It's genuinely so nice and refreshing to hear someone talk about their struggles, and then be excited to tell others, "I'm happy now". Especially with things like depression or anything else life throws at them. Genuinely happy for you Timmy. Keep it up

Tim. im a 35 years old. I have been through alot in my times. Gaming has always been my kind of get out of my head. watching you grow for the last few years has been a treat. If people are being honest we all need to take a mental break and jus breath and talk to someone. I hope you take time for you and youre health so that you can still put out amazing content, i think the following that you have would understand more than you could know. we will be here good sir take care of you first and always

It’s not an easy thing to talk about. The process is the most important part of the journey which I am just now at almost 23 finally understanding and since then I’ve been the most happy I’ve ever been! Keep up the grind and never forget where you started or where you are going! Im sure this video touched a lot of people besides me. I hope you continue to find happiness and we all love you!
