I think people were stocking up on everything they needed, and not just toilet paper. It's just the media that's putting this spin on things. As for bleach, a few tablespoons of bleach for 1 gallon of water...that's the mixture we need to clean. If I made that much, I would have waaay too much left over. If everyone got two bottles, that should be more than enough for a year. If we're all at home, ie. no one has left the house, we don't need to disinfect our home every day or multiple times a day. Just clean normally...

I’m really close to sell my soul to devil and pay to the hoarders who are selling on online marketplace @ x2 for a bag of TP. I visited 3 freaking stores before noon; at each store I had to wait in line 15 mins to get in and none of them has TP on the shelves. I don’t want to go out everyday hunting TP but we will run out soon.

@@heidip5528 Use washcloths. I'm serious. I worked as a CNA and I'm in school to become a nurse and that's what we used to wipe the majority of residents' backsides. White washcloths, then launder with bleach. Save your money and your sanity. All the best.

You can go to home depot or Sam's Club (or order online) and get "Odo Ban" or "Bleach/Colorox." A lot of the daycares use Odo Ban and or Bleach as a cleaner & disinfectant.

Last night I witnessed a grocery store employee check out with several bottles of sanitizer. When asked where she found those, she said she has stashed them in the back a long time ago. Meanwhile, I'm limited to 1 can of Lysol on an empty shelf. I'm calling you out #FoodCity !

it baffles me because if you HAD TO, you could just use a wash cloth and then wash it after and reuse. there's also tissues, paper towels, napkins that you can even pick up from fastfood places free etc if you did run completely out. food on the other hand you can't do that with so people buying the heck outta toilet paper instead of FOOD or even fresh water just, it amazes me.

They should just refuse !!! READ THEIR POLICY For decades Walmart shoppers would buy clothes, wear them and then return them, look at their policy on the wall, it specifically mentions they can refuse to accept ANY clothing at their discretion. You can bet the same people that used Walmart as a clothing rental place are those trying to return their hoarded supplies. I would 100% refuse to even offer store credit.

@@JNoMooreNumbers Of course when you're clean, dry it with a towel duh! When you're out in public of course toilet paper, but when you're at home or at a hotel then use a bidet to wash and dry off with a towel. It's not as complicated as people think it is. You just have to get used to it.

Not only toilet paper hoarding, but cleaning products as well, I’m pretty sure 1 bottle of concentrated chlorox diluted with the right amount of water in a spray bottle seems to be as effective as multiple containers of Clorox wipes, Clorox spray, etc. I’ve been disinfecting surfaces in my home with this way before Lysol aerosol spray cans started disappearing of of the shelves.

Ironically, normal sized bottles were not available but the cheaper 1 gallon refill was. I got that instead. I am still using it up.

I saw something yesterday and it made me laugh because people that had the money bought up all the toilet paper before other people could get a chance to get any. This guy bought 105 packages of toilet paper to sell on eBay and then when he couldn't sell them on eBay he tried to return them to the store for a refund and the manager refused him LMAO

How are they not talking about the most significant reason? A small number of people went in and bought a whole bunch. Now people go to the store and see the shelfs emptier than before. Even though they have half a case at home, they dont know if they will be able to get more by the time they need it, so now they buy it when they had half a case instead of their normal only a few rolls left. That then creates a cycle. Sales went up 100%, so people on average are buying twice as often. This is just most people not waiting until they are low before they buy more because they dont know that if when they are low, there will be any left.

No one talks about the fact that people generally use 30% of their TP away from home and the grocery stores typically only have 3 days of products on hand. So if even a small fraction of people stock up it can throw the whole system into chaos. Research the “just in time” grocery system in the US and you’ll learn exactly why these shortages are happening.

I used only TP for majority of my life, our family moved from the US to a country that has bum sprayers in every bathrooms. I have NEVER been so clean after number two. You just spray and use a small amount of TP to pat dry. It can be a hard concept to grasp, look it up for more details.

L C i understand wat you're saying but in my area, im able to find frozen veggies and fruit luckily with no problem, but going back to the original post things like frozen waffles, breakfast sandwiches, toaster strudels, fries, pizza, hot pockets, hungry man, etc. are always out of stock, and not the healthiest choices, i must admit though, im guilty of the toaster strudels so have been a little upset about that one😅

Two years later, the car dealers are only ordering high end vehicles since they can not sell as many but it is finally catching up. Car sales have plummeted and dealers are stunk paying interest in expensive cars. I hope they collapse. Even Tesla is lowering prices after jacking them up.

Government on the state level needs to start rationing all paper products and sanitary wipes and sprays just as rationing was done during WWII. Idiots are hoarding and selling online at black market prices. Our government has dropped the ball on every level during this National crisis.
