Let us be honest 1/Africans can't fully fund AU by themselves 2/Africans can't fully fund regional organizations by themselves 3/Most african countries can't fully their national budgets 4/Most african countries can't afford to have a strong army fully funded for themselves How africans going to set up such new institution in these challenging conditions? Africa is negotiating from the position of weakness. China was once defeated by Western Nation and yet, they raised from the ashes of defeat and shame and become what they are today. Africa must look inward, support emerging countries, and build their capacity .

Wind the clock to the day before the UN was formed, recognizing that the next day Europeans wanted to solve European problems. Then, ask why Africa continues to beg for a seat at the “wrong table”, and be pompous about it, instead of looking inward to solve its own security problems. Our leaders behave subserviently then wonder why we are treated like servants. Africa must do something for itself or have nothing.
The Africa continent needs technology and reorganize themselves to be super strong power. As long we are not organize and having weapons they're not going to respect us.!
Why do people continually understate Africa's population of 1.76 + billion people. One of the problem with such understatement is perpetuation of poverty.

Africa can not and should not accept useless seats in the UN Security Council. They are not worthy our consideration. We are not going to accept that kind of insult. We deserve respect. The UN can keep the seats if they can't do the right thing.
If we want to see a more peaceful/equitable world, all the continents should have full representations in the UN Security Council, including the Carritbean and the most impoverished countries in the world.
