Nice video. Please, I'm not trying to troll you or your video. I do have some concerns though. Reloading can be enjoyable, it can also be dangerous without following some basic precautions. I do have a few questions. What did your brass look like after the 47gn loads? Flattened primers, ejector marks? These indicators can be subtle but they are some of the first signs if over pressure loads. Most reloading data is conservative, that's to keep us below max pressure. What distance are you shooting at? What distance are you hoping to reach? What's your intended application? Hunting, target, Long range precision, just for fun? From what I understand, when developing loads for a rifle, you want to increase charge weight in 10% increments. This can help you find the accuracy and velocity you're looking for. CFE223 and Varget are very different powders. What I understand, when trying a new (to you) powder, be conservative. Anecdote: I tried a new to me powder, I followed the reloading data from the powder manufacturer, the starting charge was over pressure in my rifle. I had flattened and cratered primers. Because of my experience is why I ask these questions. In my own experience, changing a powder load by a full grain with a untried powder in your rifle could have unexpected results. If you have already done your due diligence and verified these loads I apologize for this comment.

Yeah everything is good. but I do get more speed with with 46 grains of CFE223 about 30 feet/sec and it is cheaper then Varget. It seems like my rifle likes the 46 grain load over the 47 grain, but it could be me too.

But I agree you do have to be careful when developing your load.

Thank you for the reply. Yeah, CFE223 is a good velocity powder but takes small changes to get ES and SD numbers down. CFE is not really temperature stable either. I've had pretty large velocity changes depending on temperature. I say this, and it's the main powder I use. 😁 If I may suggest, load up 5 rounds @ 45.6grns and 5 @ 46.4grns and see what they do for you compared to the 46grn load. In my own testing, a 10% change in charge weight may not change velocity very much if at all, but the ES and SD could be greatly improved. I hope I'm helping you find a good load for your rifle. i enjoy reloading but it can be a really deep rabbit hole and chew up a lot of resources. Best of luck and stay safe.

Varget @ 45.O for 175 MK or LRX WW brass and CCI BR2 primers CFE 223 very small node from low to high and it likes it toward the max ! I prefer Varget in 308 Win

Play with your seating depth on that 47gr load. You have an excellent velocity node there, and you should be able to tighten your groups by adjusting how much the projectile jumps to the lands. Good luck!
