"When the elephants fight, the grass suffers." This proverb makes the point that the poor get hurt when the powerful fight each other. When presidents decide to go to war, it is their citizens who lose their spouses and children. When millionaires decide to rank each other's wealth and importance by the amount of stuff they have accumulated, it is those who work for them that stand to lose the most at the altar of their employer's ego.
Yes but it is just a list of facts everyone knows, it is not some revelation of truth. If only that knowledge helped to break the system but it doesn't. At some point in my life I just accepted it as natural thing even though it doesn't mean I don't share this rainbow dream of equality

This is how people will live: In peace and freedom, protected by the Protoi. In a clean place they choose free of any kind of charge, which belongs to them for as long as they live on earth. After they decide to leave this place their property is free to give to someone else, not necessarily their own children, if they have any. No inheritance. No power over others. No accumulation of wealth. Everyone can have anything they need and even more according to their needs and tastes. All that is needed will be given to the Protoi and the new society system. Unlimited energy (food, water, power, oil etc.) and free healthcare. No labor slavery but also no extra benefits for work. The task of helping society should be clear. Russia’s naval base deal in Sudan has been in the works since 2019, when the two countries signed an agreement granting the Russian Navy access to Sudanese ports. However, the agreement was made public in 2021, with Sudan’s Chief General of Staff, Gen. Mohammed Othman al-Hussein telling local media that Khartoum would review the agreement.
We should normalize single combat again military leaders would be way less willing to waste human life like this if they actually had to be on the ground with them.
@@forestman2382 the two tribes you mentioned share so much in common... culture and language it was leaders with the help of foreign powers that wanted those tribes to fight but we woke up and are stronger than ever.
A controlled military power structure is the most important thing a country should do after independence. If not done, it will lead to conflicts & puppet government. Military caused problem in Myanmar, Pakistan, now Sudan. & also there must few more countries that's controlled by military that i don't know.
Mali and Chad. Could also make an argument for several other countries where the military is in a defacto ruling position despite a transition to civilian rule (for example Thailand).
@@moinuddinkhan593 Indeed. Egypt is one of the other countries I had in mind where civilian rule is merely nominal. Egypt is now a typical faux democracy, very similar to Russia.
"nowadays". The world is the most peaceful for humanity that it's ever been. We just hear about all the remaining inevitable pockets better than ever before nowadays.
how do you know it is unbiased? I can confirm to you that the BBC has always its own agenda! For instance in this report they claimed that there is a link between Wagner group and RSF leader General Dagalo. Equally General Al-Burhan has close links with Moscow and just before the war broke out he recently agreed with the Russians to grant them a military base on the strategically important Red Sea coast near Port Sudan. you see the BBC is has its own agenda !! never trust the BBC or any mainstream media. If you don't believe me google it yourself.
Russia got final approval to build a small naval base once civilian control was restored and the US, which had been fighting against the base for years, gave the go ahead for the government to be overthrown. There. I just saved you eight minutes.
@@absentmindedshirokuma8539 The US is well known for local divide-and-conquer operations. Two months ago Sudan gave final approval for hosting a Russian naval base in a Sudanese port after civilian control resumes. The US was not amused as they had been stirring up opposition to the proposed base for years. On April 11 Anthony Blinken talked to the Sudanese Military Council chair about "support for Sudan's democratic aspirations." On April 13 there were reports of deployment of Sudanese Rapid Security Forces in the capital and other areas without approval of the Sudanese Armed Forces . It now appears that Rapid Security Forces are staging a coup e.g. a regime change or "color revolution" for the rather obvious purpose of countering Russian influence in Sudan. They may not know what they are actually doing but State does.
@@edwintripp1034 you get the timeline backwards. US was supporting omar al bashir regime, the previous regime, that get toppled in 2019 by coup staged by military general Al Burhan and Dagalo which currently fighting. Both generals are supported by Russian. Does US didn't like Russian base in sudan? Absolutely. but US didn't have any allience or control over both Al Burhan and Dagalo and nothing US can do about it.
@@absentmindedshirokuma8539 I will accept your analysis as the clash between the two was ongoing before the most recent Blinken involvement, but I tend to see cause and effect whenever any of our "democracy" promoters poke their heads into a country's business and mayhem / escalation promptly ensues.
@@edwintripp1034 if you see omar al bashir or part of it's cronyism making comeback, then there could be US involvement, but the last coup in 2021 cleaned up any US backed elite left. What currently fighting was 2 faction left that supported by Russian during 2019 coup and 2021 coup that deposed US backed regime.
Wonderful brief, fantastic thank u. Wishing for sustained Peace in big Sudan (and for little Sudan, too -- throughout Africa indeed, and the world) ✌️🕊️🇸🇩
I do like the way that the BBC downplays the significance of the USA and Russia using this as a proxy war. Both global superpowers have their own strategic interests in the continent. Russia wants warm weather ports. America doesn't want Russia to gain a toehold. What is Africom up to in Sudan at the present time?
Why is it happening? Well, Einstein just about had it covered: “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”
May God of Israel Abraham Issac and Jacob give strength to those in power that only love and peace is more important among humanity among nations than greed power war conflict madness and war weapons .
This is a half truth. Both Hemedti and Burhan have met Russian Leaders. There is also an interest from Western countries. US has been a key player in this since the toppling of Omar El Bashir. I wonder why BBC leave this out.
Western allies in middle east was supporting omar al bashir, but the current fiction that fighting both supported by Russian, so yeah kinda weird to left that out. I guess since the army general relationship with Russia was the formal one, they are not mentioned.
@@ashleygarnett8840 both faction were closely aligned with Russia. Sudanese army general has been closer to Kremlin while the Paramilitary was closer to Wagner group.
So start explaining. Dont just say "no that's not how it is, trust me. And I'm not going to justify or give evidence to that nor am I going to tell you what I think is factual"
This is happening because Sudan agreed to allow Russia a naval base in their country , thereafter the daughter of darkness Victoria Nuland visited Sudan , bringing cookies to the crowds , and to " Discuss democracy " .
The BBC missed the most important reason why this conflict reared up. The Russians had made a deal to build a navy base on the Sudan coast. The US was not having any of that so they sent in the money men to stir up the pot.
This is very unlikely. Both faction currently fighting was closely aligned with Russia. US and it's middle east allies (arab saudi especially) was supporting omar al bashir regime. Since the last coup that toppled bashar, US pretty much lost influence in the region. US since move their military support to Djibouti. They are both Russian backed military generals fighting among each other for control of sudan. Turn out supporting generals who backstabbing each other is bad idea. Who would've thought.
@@kickedinthecalfbyacow7549 Egypt gets weapons from UK/US. It’s like the US says to Poland:send all your weaponry to Ukraine, we will give you all new and even double. The US washes its hands - no straight supply of them those weapons to Ukraine. Welcome DEMOCRACY!
Can the impartial BBC please explain who so many “ British “ nationals were in Sudan at such a dangerous time? Why so many Drs on the UK NHS payroll in Sudan ?
UN missions and aid project. There are also hundreds citizens from dozens country who do similar project that also evacuated, china and japan to name a few.
Because, you see Howard, they were probably on annual leave and spent it in Sudan. I don’t know if you work, but often when people with jobs have annual leave they sometimes choose to leave the country. Those Drs probably chose to visit Sudan to see family for Eid. Hope you can grasp that 👍.
In simple: NATO supported paramilitary unit asking russian supported sudanese government to including paramilitary force as part of sudanese military, but russian supported government refused Nato supported paramilitary then declare war against russian supported sudanese government This is just another proxy war between nato and russia
The paramiliary group that currently fighting with sudan government was NOT alligned with NATO. Both are supported by Russian, the paramilitary more closely aligned with Wagner group while sudanese army general closely alligned with Kremlin. This is Russian allies infighting over control of sudan.
@@absentmindedshirokuma8539 no... Paramilitary unit are have closer ties with nato and it's ally. It is true that paramilitary unit have something to do with russian, but their largest patronage is actualy nato and it's ally since nato and ally often using paramilatary to conduct some operation outside of sudan.
@@thegrandlord2914 dagalo, the leader of paramilitary was never close to western nation, in fact he was sanctioned due to darfur massacre. But after 2021 self coup, he fell out of favor with western leaders and getting closer to Russian since hence Russian military base agreement.
Both faction currently fighting is on Russian side, soo.. would be weird for Russia asking russia backed military group to toppled Russian backed government.
Yes and I would imagine greed would factor in on who owns the contract of getting paid from the Russian government is what factors into this conflict as well. Two generals looking for a lifelong payday is what's going on now.
I bloody hope so! We really can’t afford to get involved in yet another foreign war… Soon we’ll be asked to take on a bunch of these refugees and send huge amounts of aid… O thanks! While people here are poorer than ever since the 70s! If they have enough energy to fight… they can take care of their own too
Both faction currently fighting were on Russian side. China and NATO was uninvolved. China generally has little interest in local politics as long thier business interest untouched while the guy NATO supported was toppled 4 years ago by both groups currently fighting.

this news presenter irks my soul. his tone reeks of prejudice, shaking his head in his dissatisfaction when he speaks of sudans independence, as if that’s the cause of the conflict instead of recognising it was british imperialism that got them into this position in the first place.
The UN rep Volker is one of the main reasons of this conflict... it is not as simple as this report portrays... complex issue which has slowly turned into a nightmare for everyone... 2 important things almost all the Sudanese people in Sudan and in the diaspora support the army against yhe tribal militia and yes gold is a major player in this conflict
So, the fact that Russia and the interim government had struck an agreement for a Russian naval base on the Red Sea has nothing to do with the case. Strange the BBC didn't mention it though. Could other, external forces be at work here? I'm looking at you, Uncle Sam.
Willie: Don't think with your Willy. Exchanging one master for another is not an act of freedom. It is an act of perpetual subjugation! Mayibuye i Afrika! The African ruling elites should take a long, hard look in the mirror and take stock of their abject lack of statesmanship and vile behaviour - prostitues who sell their rotten, depraved souls to the highest bidder!!
But apparently every problem in the world means we must have more refugees that travel through dozens of safe countries to get their new life in the UK. We are utterly collapsing in a sea of immigration that is damaging every part of our lives and removing hope from our children as house prices and rentals become increasingly unaffordable making life for millions of young Brits impossible. Go to the nearest safe country and start an effective repatriation scheme.
Give over mate, not everything revolves around the UK, people in Sudan don’t look at the UK like the Eldorado you think it is. The UK takes far less refugees than even Sudan did before the conflict. Anyway, life in the UK is shit and I tell Sudanese people I know to not even bother coming here, they’ll earn more and have a better quality of life in the gulf states (and be treated better by the locals).
I hope we won’t be asked to take a bunch of these “refugees” too! People here are going hungry ffs! If they have the energy to fight… then they can solve their own problems!
Russia was given permission by the Sudanese government to build a Port on the Red Sea and NATO does not like that and as usually innocent people will suffer....
When there is war it means Viktor Bout's Arms selling business is in demand. Viktor Bout always sells weapons to the lowest price possible and he always always delivers.
@Uncommonsenses Resource stolen, people taken away, the brightest and wealthy leave or escape, people subjugated and unable to pursue what they are capable of. Markets manipulated, unqualified corrupt people who are pro British put into power, people who fight for independance called terrorists jailed or killed. You think 60 years, a single generation, is long enough to fix everything?
There are no SIDES to this war, it is the national army(army of the Sudanese people) and a Militia called RSF with mercenary from Mali, Niger, Central Africa Chad. Sudanese Army has proven to be impenetrable & invincible barrier in the face of those thirsty for Sudanese resources and blood.
