HK has some of the greatest rides - Mystic Manor and Grizzly. But, also, might have the best renditions of Legend of the Lion King, Small World, and Space Mountain created thus far. There's something about their Small World that just nails the imagineering experience, the ride path hides and surprises around every turn. 100/100 stars. and Thank You for the update!!
Hong kong's tomorrowland used to be one of my favorites with the more cartoony sci-fi feel, but the star wars and marvel takeovers (overlays) made the land lose its essence. The version of space mountain in hong kong used to be the best version using the anaheim track; they really went overboard with the over the top physical effects for the ride. Then they permanently changed the ride to hyperspace mountain and removed all the physical sets in favor of screens. It seems that disney likes to turn the best versions of space mountain into cheap cashgrabs. Hoping tokyo disneyland's space mountain gets better treatment than paris and hong kong
Yeah, the “de-theming” of certain attractions is quite sad… From what I’ve seen the original Tomorrowland was a lot of fun and less serious than WDW’s or DL’s!
Tommorrowland was my all time favourite in Hong Kong Disneyland when i was little (Astro Blasters, Obitron, Autopia, Stitch Encounter). I was so sad when I learn that it was replaced :(
@@funtimetuber093 I miss Autopia, Stitch encounter, and Astro blasters too. The Orbitron in Hong Kong is also one of my favorite incarnations of the Tomorrowland spinner ride
I love this park so much, I think it has the biggest potential of all of the parks. I really hope they get to develop it further with more rides, restaurants and a second gate.
The park opened as the smallest one, but with great potential! It’s good that it has been receiving some much needed love with all the expansions and upgrades, let’s hope this doesn’t stop!
My wife and I bought our Magic Access annual pass today ! Looking forward to Frozen Land later this year. Hope they can expand the Avengers Campus next year. I tool feel this park has so much potential. Honestly, one aspect that makes this park better than Shanghai is the amount of classic rides. I enjoy Shanghai Disneyland too, but it just doesn't feel as Disney to me (if that makes sense)
Don't forget Tokyo Disney Resort! If Oriental Land does not make more efforts to invest, it will lose to Hong Kong. I also want to see the Tokyo Disney video.
Very nice presentation. I have been to HKSL three times so far, including opening day. A fourth trip to Asia was planned for late 2020 but had to be cancelled. I feel that my next visit will be in 2026 to be part of Shanghai’s 10th, catch the end of HKDL 20th and TDS 25th.
Can we talk about Hong Kong Disneyland version of "Stark Expo" as a new land? And since I see a spots, "a new unnamed Avengers Multiverse ride" is still coming to Hong Kong Disneyland? Because this ride are looks different about Iron Man, Werewolf by Night, She-Hulk, Moon Knight, Hawkeye, Spider-Man, America Chavez, Black Panther, Man-Thing, Hulk, Thor, Mighty Thor, Captain America, Daredevil and the other members of the Avengers must be have the final battle against King Thanos as the incarnation of Thanos, which he has survived in the timelines, like a movie?
Yeah, the ride would be similar to the movie and rely mostly on screens. What this does is create different experiences with different stories, making it very re-rideable!
I don’t think we will see any developments in that area for the time being but it’s still a possibility! As I said, the government has interest in seeing not only the resort doing well but also more investment from Disney.
@@themainstreetnews and apparently, a new unnamed Avengers Multiverse ride are still coming to Hong Kong Disneyland? Because, in the concept art for "Stark Expo", this ride are looks familiar about Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Mighty Thor, America Chavez, Spider-Man, Captain Carter, Captain America, Doctor Strange, She-Hulk and the rest of the other members of the Avengers are have a ultimate battle against King Thanos, like every story? and it's all because of the second story arc of Marvel Cinematic Universe, "The Multiverse Saga"? Right?
The new castle looks so cool and I've heard so many good things about Mystic Manor. Is it still a 2 day park max though? Glad it's getting some much needed investment though
@@themainstreetnews I agree, I know its the smallest park but I am interested to see their long term plans especially since they seem to have so much focus on Shanghai
As someone who isn't a big thrillseeker/franchise media fan, I would skip Disneyland entirely and visit Ocean Park instead. Much more focus on nature with an array of animal-related displays, including a central aquarium with the works™, a separate freshwater aquarium, a sturgeon aquarium, a shark aquarium... I can go on and on and on. That said, there's still thrills for those who prefer them. It's just more all-rounded. Also good food at the Bayview Restaurant.
I mean, I’ve never been to HKDL but from the rides lineup, there seems to be lots of family rides but also some more thrill ones with Space Mountain, Grizzly and RC.
@@themainstreetnews at my work we are still getting orders for some of the components that logically you think they would need for the basic construction of some of the rides, but if COVID lockdowns stay lifted in China (which I hope because it keeps me employed) they should be able to get it done but I'm not sure because that's all I really know aside from the video Disney posted 2 weeks ago
I mean hk has a bunch of money making up 20 percent of china’s economy before it was returned to the mainland to begin with it’s just the Walt Disney company that wouldn’t commit and kept having budget cuts
