What’s hidden behind the Gorilla Tag Secret Tunnel? (New Map?) 

What do you think is behind the secret tunnel? Dodgeball? Valley map or something else?

Lemming has said this a few times from what I know but gorilla tag was supposed to be dodgeball but he later decided to change it to tag and that's why there are dodgeball related objects in the files.

I think the map you found is just a sketch for the forest map. He just added graphics in a different file with the same model and left the blank 1.

Thank you so much for putting this much effort, and giving us this info. But i might have to disagree, for starters, the ball sound doesn't add up and I put a little thought into this as well, so a valley doesn't give any places to do any cool tricks or anything like that. And take it back a few updates and we have an obstacle course, mix the two together i'm thinking something similar to wipeout. That's just my thoughts.

I’m just gonna put future maps I think will come. It would be cool if the tunnel lead to a waterfall map with like bouncy lily pads or something, and for canyon it would be a Wild West cow boy type town. Then for mines we could go down deeper and it would be a lava map that only the lava monkeys can go in. Some maps I think sound cool.

The map is actually just forest without any objects or trees also the textures you found are from the forest map so I don’t think that they are adding a valley or dodgeball (I think that might be put in as a different mode) behind the tunnel I think it might be something else

I think if it was a new map, it is in its very beginning stages and would take a while to come out. And, the mountain map was known way before it came out and I think since it is a decently small game, new maps are helping it get more users, more popularity, leading to even more money.

That tunnel has been there since the game came out, maybe even earlier originally, the tunnel was meant for the canyon, but the dev realized walking through servers to get where you want would be a slight pain. So lemming added the big tunnel sticking out the back side of the half-cut tree. I always wanted lemming to grow the tree, climb the branches to get to some buildings hanging up top, which would completely stop being on top of the map as an end all be all, you could just climb the tree and jump down to the wall.

hey its A NEW map i got to the tunnel from the top of the map and there are textures of like a cave and its rlly cool it used to be all black but not anymore

my theory is that the map might be something roughly related to the house cosmetics, it's literally the most random thing to add

funny thing is, While lemming was making that, he realized he messed something up he couldnt fix, so he closed up the tunnel, that way it wouldnt ruin the game, i dont believe anything will happen with the tunnel, maybe lemming accidentally moved it while updating the game

just to clear this up the ball and bounce stuff was because of a old gamemode and the tunnel was actually supposed to be a entrance but the just made a tree for the entrances

Pretty sure those textures you found are used within he forest map it's just the textures are scaled up and the resol is much lower

I think Lemmings wanted to add another map a while back, but it didn’t work out and he lazily put a texture of where the entrance is unmatched, to make it obvious that he did something.

this is a cool theory but the only thing is im 70% sure that the opening is to stop people from getting to the tunnel but that would mean that their hiding something

Imagine if they add a swamp, and they add a swimming mechanic. If that happened, I would quit Roblox, and make gorilla tag my main game

A long time ago in gorilla tag I used to have mods and me and some friends went out of the map and found this ball it was just a white ball that we could stand on outside the map

You can actually get to secret tunnel and get both hands free in gorilla tag with no mods by using the glitch in the obstical course

That old passage was going to be how people would enter in the cave map let me explain: basicly in alpha gorilla tag there were 3 maps hub clouds and caves lemming wanted to add caves as soon as he could to the new forest map at the time so he made a little hole and would come back to model the cave later but for now he was building the forest map then it all changed when he added tree stump or as it was called back then dead tree basiclly at the time the only things inside was a table and a computer but he wanted to add more then he reamemberd the hole he made for caves that he had not gotten to develeping so he desided to close the hole and make a new one in "dead tree" then made a tunnel going down to the mines so later in the spring update the old hole started to open no ones really knows why but i think that it was just a mastake even if he wanted to add some type of vally there it would get in the way of mountens map but no i do not think lemming is going to add a new map not for a while at least plus mountens JUST came out so i dout hes making a new map i think hes just making new texters

I wanna start to make custom maps for gorilla tag, So after I learn on how to make a map, I will maybe try to connect forest and the secret map together.

That's insane I hope they make it soon

I thought the new place was a tropical rainforest where they will have a waterfall jungle like trees and vines like that type

I think this would be cool, but, there would be nothing to climb on unless lemming adds walls around the map, witch I don’t think would look good.

I hope there would a minigame map where there is portals to minigame worlds

i think its dodgeball. cuz many have seen a ball in the game files and other things leading it to make it look like a new dogeball map

it’s from dodgeball, they used to have it in the early versions, they said there would not be dodgeball because it didn’t work

it has to be a new map. if there isnt any kind of exit to the tunnel the exit probably is going to be in the next beta. either that or we have to wait and see.

im pretty sure its just gonna match up the mountains map to the forest and that square room is another hub

Btw the tunnel has grown a lot of extra parts have been added

I think the cave is slowly opens but one theory lava monkeys burnt the other side

Tbh I thought it was an opening to stop players from glitching where they can’t be tagged

I think the devs just made a mistake and accidentally moved the tunnel door up slightly

I guess there adding a new map and rocks will randomly spawn in other maps and you can throw them

The map your referring too is actually the forest map with nothing in it

it might just be another entrance to the mountains

the dodgeball thing is never coming out. lemming stated this back when the game was still in development in 2020

He is not wrong but I say what if in the future he adds a dogeball gamemode and when u click on it it unlocks a new map like at the top of the tree and brings you to the map also Duh valley map

There's is also a texture to the secret tunnel

I personally do not think there will be anything to do with the secret tunnel at the moment as those are old game files and lemming could’ve messed with the walls in forest and moved it down a bit making it looking like it opened in the latest update.

All of this is old news and those "valley" textures are just stretched over the forest map. Also that's just an old build of the map. This isn't to be mean but next time do your research.
