Totally agree. After having many seasonal pieces, I finally figured my love of the classic flaps. To me, a minority opinion, Chanel classic flaps are just more beautiful, cooler and suit more purposes and occasions than a Birkin, which I am only tempted for its quality as a sturdy work bag. Maybe you can share a video on the two.

I have a classic double flap black with gold hardware. It's on layaway at my local pawn shop. No corner wear ,no dust bag or box. I have six months to pay off. Grand total is 2,2400. I never thought I'd have this bag in my lifetime.
I’m still saving for my Chanel caviar black /gold hardware double flap , I want my first Chanel to be brand new. I want the full Chanel experience 🤗 after that I will purchase preloved 🤗
I feel Chanel is trying to close the gap between them and Hermes because they want their brand to be considered more on the exclusive side. The problem is Chanels materials are going down hill (Not as much as LV but they just arent as good quality as they were before) and Hermes Birkin bags are handmade and put time into their bags
I have this with gold hardware, navy. i laughed because I had to walk on my bare feet after a reception (work function) in a pebble covered parking lot!
I was so underwhelmed with my in store experience, so I agree that it isn’t worth the extra money. I’d only recommend going in to see the variety of offerings, but beyond that, preloved is preferred.
OMG I cannot believe I found a video that actually talks about the fold up flats that you can put in a Chanel bag. I’ve been going back-and-forth with getting either a small Chanel flap or a medium Chanel flap. But one of my deciding factors is it has to fit my fold up flats! I don’t buy a bag unless I can fit them because wobbling in stilettos is not an option lol! I really like the look of the small Chanel flap better but I don’t know if it will fit the flats. Can you please let me know will your flats fit in the small Chanel flap along with a cell phone and keys?
