We always make banana oat pancakes; just a banana, 40g of oats & an egg. Plus a splash of milk. Blend and fry. Perfect for picky toddlers too! Add cinnamon and raisins or blueberries to the batter 😋

Yeah but her fridge is like a condensed version of a supermarket though. She practically has all the ingredients.

Just following Pailin's content... (actually your/Pailin's fridge looks very organized--even if it was tidied up for this video)

There's something kinda intimate/private about one's fridge! A glimpse into who you are? Thanks for sharing your fridge with us! I have the same condiment issue! The look on your face when you looked into the macapuno jar!

That's exactly our sentiment! It's almost like every fridge says something about the person!

Freeze the half bananas. Cut into small slices and put on wax paper so they don't stick together. Frozen banana chips are better (and more healthy) than ice cream. And a bonus you can't eat too much at one time because they have to melt in your mouth before you can chew and swallow so you don't eat too much at one time...

My sauce and condiment situation isn't much different. 😳😂 Being of Italian extraction, all leftover greens get cooked and put into a frittata. Half onions will be handy for this as well. Even if it's more veg than egg, that's perfectly fine. Put in a handful of parmesan, and yes, even a splash of fish sauce. It will be good, warm or cold.

We buy mentaiko in bulk from Japanese wholesalers. Pão de queijo is very easy to make from scratch and is delicious with a cup of black coffee! Absolutely love tamarind pods!

She may have 43 different condiments. I have 16 different mustards alone. I need a 12 step program for mt German husband’s addiction.

It won't be an Asian fridge if it doesn't have an expired food that we still consume.

Why is your fish sauce, soy sauce and so on in the fridge? They don't need refrigeration because they are fermented foods. In fact I know refrigeration ruins the fish sauce because it forms crystals. I've never seen this fridge stories before. So fascinating. I'm a fan of your channel me leaned a lot over the years, Pai.

They don't go bad, but the taste changes overtime if you leave them outside. (She has addressed this in a lot of her videos.)

@@dodgeball28 yes I'm well aware of that. You didn't read what I said :-) If you keep it in the fridge it ruins the flavour and salt crystals form. Keeping outside does nothing. The flavour might Change a little but it won't ruin it. Keeping it in the fridge will. Additionally, since she's Thai I'm assuming she would never have a bottle around long enough for that to happen in the first place. I cook Thai food after falling in love with it after spending time in Thailand and my fish sauce never changes flavour because I use it quickly. I use the same brand. I have Thai friends in Thailand. I've never seen or heard of anybody refrigerating it. It's not something that needs it and as I said ruins it. I asked my Thai friends and they both said no to keeping it in the fridge Of course that's fine. If she wants to do it every one is free to do whatever they like. Im just wondering if there's a reason I'm not aware of for doing it

@@travelswithmybelly The reason for doing it, as Pai and the commenter above you have already said, is because the flavour of fish sauce deteriorates quickly when kept outside compared to in the fridge. The reason why you don't notice a change in flavour and why your Thai friends don't keep it in the fridge is, precisely as you said, probably because you and your Thai friends use it fast enough for the change to not be noticeable. As for the fridge "ruining" the flavour and the forming of crystals, I've not have that happen to me, and I'd guess the same goes for Pai, otherwise she would not be keeping it in the fridge.
