I am sure will get Persona 6 and SMT6 eventually. I am sure we will get something for DDS(hopefully HD remaster collection). I am sure will get more Persona spinoffs. I am not so sure will get any more SMT spinoffs or non-Persona/non-SMT Megaten games.
It would be fantastic Atlus getting awards for Metaphor at TGA with them announcing Persona 6 minutes after. Literally peak ending for Atlus 35th (gonna become 40 soon) anniversary.
Not just Metaphor but also P3R, SMT5V, and Unicorn Overlord too. P6 being there could be a peak marketing opportunity. Plus, I don't think they having anything significant after Metaphor, so it's a good time to announce it.
It always perplexed me that Atlus didn't try to make Devil Survivor a third pillar. I love SMT and I love Persona, but as an absolute diehard of the first two DS games, I would genuinely be more excited to get a DS3 announcement than anything else. Maybe if SE finally releases that rumored FF Tactics remake and it does well, DS will go back on Atlus's radar. But for now, my predictions for the future are largely aligned with yours. I'm sure they're probably also working on another project with Vanillaware that we'll hear about in the next year or two. I'd also like to see Atlus dip into some less mainstream IPs. Maybe a new Growlancer or Lost Dimension game.
I'm overdosing on copium so I'm thinking a TGA reveal for Persona 6 with a May-June-July 2025 release window (If the leaks of development being nearly complete, I doubt they'd wanna release it in the same window as GTA 6)
You might be right. I was thinking a release date fall of next year because it would line up with the 30th persona anniversary, but GTA 6 is releasing then😅😅
I wish I was overdosing on "copium", I would be thinking we will be getting Digital Devil Saga 3, SMT 1, 2, and if... remakes, Raidou 3, a Persona game with no calendar/school sim(adult cast/female lead) but is still a turn based RPG, Devil Summoner/Soul Hackers remakes, etc.
@@ingram4056 so much potential wasted on such a great main character.....anyway back to the subject, while I have no interest in Devil Survivor, I hope you get something. There are so many games stuck on dead systems, it saddens me.
@@DragonKingX78 yeah I hope devil survivor gets a port, remake or remaster and I hope atlus gives soul hackers another chance because soul hackers 2 could have been much better than it was.
I'm gonna keep buying Atlus games in hopes of helping them fund the next Etrian Odyssey. Heck they could even port Etrian Mystery Dungeon 1&2 to Switch and I'd buy that!
Honestly, you make a great point with how ATLUS might be pandering more to western audiences. I too am a dummy with expectations (but hey we we're right about a p3 remake 😉) I think the chances of us seeing a P6 announcement at the game awards is substantially higher than ever before, it does seem after P5 ATLUS has been more global I think that's their direction now. I'm fairly sure after P5R all of their games have been worldwide released at the same time as Japan (correct me if I am wrong there) I think the odds that we might see something at a western event for P6 is more likely than what we'd of expected in 2019 or 2020.
Honestly I can see that. P6 could be teased late this year with a full trailer coming prob around E3 time next year and release in Late 2025-Early 2026.
Lets hope they do any announcement only at the end of the year couse they are so busy this year and i want to focus on the current games. As for remake/remasters, lets hope its the P1-2 games, couse i really want to see how they would look in modern graphics.
I’d love for the to bring the following to all platforms (including my preferred Xbox): SMT III Nocturne Etrian Odyssey Origin Collections Catherine Full Body Persona 5 Strikers
I'm thinking the next Etrian or P6 revealed at TGS. The idea of P4 getting the Reload treatment gives me more reason to finish Golden. If Atlus can do an HD SMT III what's stopping them from bringing back IV or IV Apocalypse with all the DLC? And this might be even more left field but maybe reviving the earlier spin-offs. I'd say Raidou 3, Devil Survivor 3 or Digital Devil Saga 3 should be a lot better than Soul Hackers 2.
Plus, I feel like they could remake or remaster the older titles too. Or at the very least, port them to modern consoles. There are definitely fans out there who would love to the play the 1st SMT
Persona 4 getting the Reload treatment sounds awful, they'll take a game that holds up pretty well by modern standards and fill it with weird downgrades and remove its identity to make it more like Persona 5
Definitely agree DDS is happening next year. Also really like to see SMT 1 and 2 get steam ports. A new SMT spin off or two would be cool but I’m not smoking rocks and expecting it. I just hope we don’t have to wait another 5 years till 2029 for the next new SMT project
Great video definitely persona 6 and would love persona 4 remake and shin megami tensei 4 remake and apocalypse and 4 don't think it come out in the UK and strange journey and persona 2 as well lots lol
They should do a remaster of SMT4 and Apocalypse, since SMT3 and SMT5 are very easy to get but SMT4 got killed by Nintendo by turning off the 3DS eShop. Just combining the 2 NDS screens into one, remaster graphics and release it on Steam etc.. Thats all Atlus gotta do
Game awards reveal persona 6 Early 2025 New Etrian oddessy Mid 2025 Digital devil saga remastered Fall Persona 6 2026??? More Etrian remasters Persona 1 and 2 remasters Maybe a smaller project from the soul hackers 2 team 2027 Shin Megami Tensei 6
I really like the Raidou games but and would want them modernized, but I think they should remake them so that they are the combat has more complexity.
I think The Game Awards is definitely when we are gonna see P6. Whether it’s a teaser trailer or a full on reveal there’s no way we don’t see it in some form. I think we’ll see it, Metaphor DLC, and either an SMT IV port or a new Etrian Odyssey game next year. Atlus has been cooking recently man.
i genuinely hope they go back for a remake of SMT1. that game is insane. it aged absurdly poorly, but its story is hands down the best in the franchise.
i think if they were to announce persona 6 it would be after metaphor and probably around the time the game awards starts later this year, hopefully after it takes home goty
Atlus has to announce something soon cuz so far we have no news for any games for next year. Im definitely looking forward to metaphor so I too dont want a p6 announcement until after release. But I hope we get an announcement for it soon. My onky concern is with the SAG-AFTRA strikes thats going on, I wonder if atlus will run into trouble with english voice catlsting. Then again depending on how far the game production is, maybe thats not an issue......I really want p6😅😅😅
We probably won’t. Anything Atlus may want to announce will give trouble for metaphor’s sales. If they announce anything before then, it’s p5x global release, and nothing else before December.
Do you think they'll continue the same old weird "SMT VI will be a timed Nintendo Exclusive, Persona 6 will be a timed PS5 (and possibly the other non-Nintendo platforms too) exclusive"?
Maybe it's just me, or my opinion changes when I see uninterrupted gameplay once it comes out, but Metaphor seems so uniquely generic if that makes sense. It almost goes against everything of the setting and art style that made SMT and Persona stand out so much in the monumental ocean of anime-styled games. I know it's still Soejima, but man his concept art style looked so much better from what ended up in the actual game. More power to those who are hyped for it, it just looks so Fire-emblem-esque/modern generic anime to me and I think it suffers for it.
I'm currently playing DDS and now I actually *don't* think a remaster for those games is very likely to happen. Although it's a great game for SMT fans, I don't think it's very welcoming to people who are still relatively new to SMT, so it'd essentially be a game for a much smaller target audience than what is currently coming out.
I doubt etrian odyssey will get anything new judging how they ended the franchise on 3ds all they did was remakes or should i say demakes because 1 and 2 had better remakes on 3ds
“ what’s next for atlus” ?? TF? Bruh, chill out… metaphor hasn’t even released yet. Give them a chance to breathe…. And for us to play their next game. 🤦♂️
@@nicholasnajibi3082 does it hurt to have fun and speculate a little bit? 🥲 Dont get me wrong im super excited for metaphor and atlus had a fantastic early 2024
I just want persona 6.. enough of these random ass filler games and games of no relevancy just give us persona 6. It's time for this series to get out of limbo already, persona is one of the 3 JRPGs still stuck relying on their games from 2016 instead of moving on
How are we getting random filler games? Just this year alone, we got a mainline SMT release, a full P3 remake, and also a new 3rd pillar with Metaphor. Atlus, as a company, is much bigger than just Persona, and they almost exclusive release bangers,. I'm looking forward to P6 too, but take what you're getting man, let them cook P6 however long they need to and enjoy the other great stuff they've been releasing.
What do you mean in limbo? Sure we haven't gotten a "new" mainline title, but persona 3 reload came out in February, that doesn't say the series is "in limbo."
@makotoamamiya2442 a re-release with an incredible amount of content included (new, significantly improved story, reworked leveling, new demons, new area, new dungeons, and countless other QoL improvements). A remake that I would actually call nearly required. The only readily available P3 game is P3P and is arguably the worst way to play the game (not counting the FemC route), this brought the game to a massive new audience who never would had the ability to play the game, complete with new voice acting, activities, and social links. And finally, I think the jury's still out on Metaphor being a Persona clone, but from what I've seen, I don't think it is that at all. This is a fantasy styled game, something never seen in Persona before, yes it has a calendar system and social links, but the calendar system seems to work significantly different than in Persona, forgoes any semblance of demon fusion or negotiations, and gives you the ability to explore multiple hub locations, again something Persona has not done. At the end of the day, if you're only interested in Persona, that's fine, play what you like. But Atlus makes a lot of different games, each of which cater to a demographic, and to denigrate their really solid lineup of games to "random ass filler games and games of no relevancy" speaks more to you and your tastes, but not to the tastes of their fans as a whole.
L take. Especially when we're talking about a new IP. It could become just as important as persona in 10 years. Personally I'm in no hurry to see P6 since they fumbled so many parts of P5. I don't just want a game, I want a good game
