I hope my question doesn't offend you, im just asking because my mother has the same...do you have a facial tic? My moms tics started very light when she was young in her 40s now that she's older its gotten really bad she some times tells me she aches. 😟 Now she is also getting tested to check her brain, she's been having really bad memory loss doctors are testing for dementia or Alzheimer's...does her facial tic be a sign or symptoms of any of those diseases?

No offense taken! Yes, Dr. Shemmassian has been diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome. He's actually recorded a video on it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gs7niKHqoVk.html

There is no difference in skill and that’s all that matters

There is though. DOs go through additional courses and are better skilled in identifying the root cause in addition to just prescribing medicine. It's extra knowledge and skill that the MD does not possess.
