They cannot expect people in Korean to speak English. They went there. They should be prepared for there to be a language barrier if the country’s first language is not English. I think it’s rude to go to a country and complain that people don’t speak English.
If you go to Poor area in Pakistan the locals can speak English so why its so difficult to learn at least one foreigh language in Korea. English is very very easy.
@@airgaborpara3824 it’s not hard but should not be expected. You are literally going to their country. Why should they feel burdened to learn English to accommodate others who are coming to their country?
Lived in Daegu for years. Going back in about a year or so to Seoul. Love Korea even though there are a few....things I don't really like all that much. But overall I love the country. #1 for me is definitely, learn the language! My Korean has definitely suffered in the last couple of years but I'm learning again. Thank goodness I can still read Hangul. Shout out to King Sejong for coming up with a very simple and amazing written language.
I'm really like the feedback about Korea from foreigners which is nice. I love the Korean culture, food, and vibe. I feel Koreans are kind of nosey people who are always curious about what others are doing.
Thank you bro for making this type of videos I like watching this type of videos because I am able to know about different places and culture who makea very interesting to know. Keep it up
Hi Jin, I recently discovered your channel and I really like the content. Korea is a country I would love to visit someday and your videos are a very interesting.. I am glad that I found this channel 😊
For me the first impression was about its heavy and humid weather. I came from Tehran, whose elevation is around 1200 meter above sea level. I came with aero float. My connection flight came from Moscow. So when I took off from airplane in incheon airport, this heavy humid weather hit my face. I was feeling like I’m floating in water. And I could make out this smell of ocean as well. That was my very first impression of Korea.
It’s also funny seeing tourist ads that encourage visitors. The ads are not in Korean. Also, it’s the 2nd language of the world. And it’s the language of international business. It’s expected… some amount of English.
@@ToadyWoods English is the most widely spoken language. BUT it is completely wrong to think that every person should speak English at a basic level because the language is widely used across the world. Korea has its own language, so foreigners who visit Korea can easily guess that not every Korean can speak English. If you as a foreigner want to have no communication issues in Korea, learn some basic Korean before coming.
I felt like for the question “What was the bad IMPRESSION of korea” was not really answered by the indonesian girls😅 They were just talking abt their experience. Nevertheless, good video ! Love it ❤
Before moving to South Korea, there was this mindset that it's similar to North Korea based on the news I've been hearing. It was a culture shock. I was surprised that it's more technologically advanced than the U.S. and everything here is so convenient. Public transportation is awesome for someone who didn't have a car upon arrival. First impression of the people (men here in particular) are rude and less helpful. I was struggling with my 2 huge luggage trying to open a door to my hotel, man behind me just rushed to the door opened and slammed it to my face (by accident). If it was in the U.S., someone would have helped me easily, even just holding the door for me. To this day, I still see the same attitude from the men young/old. Most Korean women are a lot nicer and more thoughful. As the time passes, I noticed some Koreans treat me like a low class citizen. Is it because I'm South East Asian? I noticed my spouse who's white is treated better. I've had a couple of Korean friends who would stop friending me as soon as I introduced them to other foreigners (black/white/hispanics). I don't understand? Don't get me wrong there are still good people. I agree with the Germans that the beauty standard is set to high that there's this pressure to always look good. Just like any other countries there are negative and positive. Always focus on the bright side. I love Korea and I'll keep coming back (but please you need to question the intentions of your government especially during this Covid-19 situation, getting the virus you have 99.9% survival rate and we're still wearing mask indoors)!
@Cannye Personal space? Have you been to Korea? At that rude moment, guy has passed me and I didn't speak Korean then. Like I've said to the previous commenter, not all Korean men are asssholes.
I just came back from Korea, it is a good country but most the people can't speak English and they are not socialize ,If you go alone be ready for this. They are not racist but they do afraid from foreigners! .
Most koreans "can't" speak English? Lol we "don't" speak English bro. How do you socialize in the U.S if you don't speak English? Same in Korea. Wanna hang out with locals in Korea? Learn Korean.
Not sure why Koreans should be expected to take on western values like pornography , sexuality, etc etc Korean has a long vibrant culture and civilization much longer than much of the western countries, so why should it become westernized? Might as well stay home if you want Korea to be like the west.Stay with your own values and culture Korea the west is in decline!! Korea you are a vibrant part of Asia. Other Asian countries look up to you, your fashions etc Korea is the Paris of Asia, why try to be like the west.
@@ToadyWoods Yes its a shame they have sacrificed their culture and history for a few glittering mirrors and beads. But they are learning the cost of being a friend of the US now bit late to wake up.
Hey Jin i really like ur videos. I really wanna know how people date in korea because in one of your video someone told that korean boys may date but they are not serious so i am curious to know.
If you don't want to be a tool :- -Don't date someone who always going to the club every saturday night -The one who follow a lot of *sexy foreign woman* (because that's their weird fetish) who work in Korea on social media -Don't date the one who have a lot of buddy or acquaintance cuz you will be a object in their group chat
