I would LOVE a comedy club. I've heard rumors that one is coming but to be able to go see a comedy show each night after the parks would be the pièce de résistance of a day at universal.
Hey earl we are huge fans! We have heard others talk about that as well, but until we hear things from Universal we try to not get our hopes up! A comedy club would fit perfectly to the atmosphere!
I was there about 3 weeks ago and I thought it would be great, also to have a comedy club there. Or at least have an open mic at either The Groove or Red Coconut Club. There are a legion of comedians in the Orlando area who would love the opportunity and they would also bring their fans. However, both of those clubs were closed when I was there.
Ahhh man!! Ya'll revealed the Citywalk Guest Service kiosk. That is a hidden treasure. Everytime, Al leaves our room without his pass--1st stop for a new one!! 🤣😆 I hope for a SNL bar or comedy place as well. Would be so nice not to have to drive to I-Drive.
Hi guys. I just came back from my trip and I wanted to thank you again. It was amazing thank to your advice. I eat at Cowfish, Central Park crepes and Green eggs and ham for the first time and they were all great. I also got to ride Hagrid for the first time! There was a light nice rain and it was magical!
@@ThePughTwo Have you two been to Cedar Point? It’s not as themed as Universal, but I had the pleasure to grow up in Southeast Michigan very near the point; and I think it blows away some of the Orlando parks.
@@imanicunningham5965 hahaha we apologize. Honestly we have had them so many times and we just have never heard anyone say it. I think a place here in Tennessee that we once got them they pronounced it like “bay oh” so we went with it! 🤣🤣
@@ThePughTwo its okay I never have a problem with people pronouncing things wrong like my name, especially if it's not English. People make such a big deal out of it. My name is hardly ever pronounced correctly, but who cares, I don't get upset with people. It is not that serious.
People planning to go to Universal, I recommend that you make this an EXTRA day on your vacation. For example, if you bought a ticket for two days in the theme parks, you should set aside a third day to swim in your hotel and then just wander CityWalk. It isn't as big as Disney Springs but it does take a while to see everything. I did this last year and made my vacation four days instead of three. It was worth it. PS: if it's chilly, don't worry, Universal's hotels have HEATED pools. Even the lazy river at Cabana Bay is heated! I was dumbfounded when I arrived in January and saw people walking to the pool. I went out and dipped my hand. It was nice and toasty warm!
We totally agree with this! We are so bad about not spending enough time enjoying the resorts and citywalk, but we definitely recommend it to others! The heated pools are so nice, the only bad part is you have to get out eventually haha!
I just returned and am still watching your videos! I took my son to Harry Potter world for his birthday and was navigating on my own. You guys helped from packing, what to bring in, drink cups, tricks at HP and food! I can’t thank you enough ❤️ Best Universal videos and people - love watching you! A friend of mine dragged me into the karaoke club, normally I always see it closed, but it was super impressive, even though it wasn’t my thing. Everyone that goes up to sing gets a professional concert set up! Seriously, every single person gets there own personal back up singers, special lighting and hype person as well as a giant mega screen with graphics or videos going on behind them.
Oh my gosh, that’s crazy! Lol we’ve never been inside so we weren’t sure how it was set up. That’s so Universal to go 100% over the top though. I might actually be able to make myself do karaoke if I had backup singers and dancers 😂🙈

I’m so sad they replaced the sushi place too. It was my go to. Love city walk too but I’m always so pooped at the end of the day I end up going back to the hotel. Next time we go I think we’ll stay longer so we can enjoy city walk too. I would love to try the movie theater.
Hi Anna & Tyler! Why did I know that you were going to talk about the Food in CityWalk. Too bad you can’t get Butter Beer in CityWalk. 😂😂😂😂😂. I enjoy playing the Mini-golf courses and I enjoy going to the movies there, I am always surprised at how empty the theaters are when I go. I saw 3 movies there when I was in town in December. It is a great deal if you are Cinemark Rewards member, you can use your rewards for tickets and you get discounts on snacks and drinks, the Cinemark rewards discounts are better than the AP discounts. 10+ years ago when you bought UNiversal Packages and stayed on-site, the package included admission tickets to the movies. We actually went to the movies in CityWalk for the first time this fall! Universal invited us to the Blumfest even, and it was fun! We were always too busy riding rides when we used to visit to go to the movies. That’s good to know about the rewards program, too!
Favorite thing to do in City Walk is definitely eat!! We party like you guys, we would have dinner get dessert from the restaurant to go and go back to the room and re group for the next day. Now did I pack and think we could get dressed up, dance and drink all night and still make the park the next day, yes. Did we.. No. We are definitely not 20 anymore and that’s okay. Parks, dinner, and dessert in our comfy bed was perfect. 🙂
Wo!! Under a month and I will be back!! Oh my! Anna trying to keep going through Tyler's jokes is so funny! Moe's was surprisingly good! That was the first meal we had super late at night and just needed something quick.
We are both under a month! The group is going to be flooded with post and pictures and we can't wait! Haha you know Tyler, its whatever comes to mind is whats getting said lol! We love Moe's, we have them around us and eat there from time to time!
One day I’ll do the drive in mini golf. I need to start doing citywalk before going into the park. Toothesome milkshake was the highlight of citywalk for me.
The QuietFlight store has saved me on a few trips…between not packing shorts or needing some different shoes! Hart & Huntington Tattoos are pricey but a great experience… if you’re not local it can be a pain to do the aftercare regimen though! 100% a voodoo donut and chill at the hotel person too…I got a variety pack my first night last trip so I didn’t have to wait every night. If available mobile order your donuts, will save a ton of time!
All of this is great information! We haven't had to shop for anything that we forgot YET, but this is good to know for the future. Like we've talked about, Anna ALMOST got her first tattoo there and yeah, its a little pricey. We do that sometimes as well. Grab a dozen, and keep them for a few days and you have breakfast... the hardest part is not eating them all when we get them to the room!
We had the BBQ brisket sandwiches at bread box about a week ago...could have been that we were really hungry...but those sandwiches were A-MAZING! (and mobile order was perfect...they brought it right to our very tired table!)
Food, shop, people watch. All good things. CityWalk has so many great restaurants. Of course there are a lot we haven't tried yet but we call that future goals. It's nice to have so many great food options since other theme parks are limited for food. We tried Bend the Bao shortly after they opened and it was not good. They were still learning so maybe that's why.
There really is so much to do and from what we are hearing, we should get ready for even more stuff to come to CityWalk soon! Oh no! We thought that they were good, but we couldn't believe how expensive they were!
@@ThePughTwo I'm sure after they got their routine down and had proper time to prepare the food its products good. It was still new when we tried so the quality probably suffered in the beginning. I will probably have to try them again. I do agree the price is fairly high.
My wife and I enjoy getting a Fat Tuesday slushie and relaxing while watching the foot traffic and boats go by. The dueling pianos at Pat O'Brien's always fun too.
We love Fat Tuesdays! We rarely make it over to that corner of CityWalk, but we always enjoy it when we do! We still haven’t eaten at Pat O’Brien’s but we need to!
This question is for Mr. Pugh.....how do you prepare for your trip to Universal Studios? Do you starve yourself for a week? Do you eat nothing but salads for a month before & after? Every video I watch of yours makes me more and more hungry! How do I NOT gain 30 pounds on my trip??? Lol!
😂🤣 Honestly we walk so much at the parks that we don't really gain much on our trips. We'll put on some water weight from the sodium-heavy food, but it regulates itself! lol
Love your guy's videos! my girlfriend and I have been watching for awhile now and your videos are always helpful on what to do where to go and even what to bring with us , we're actually going to be at Universal this coming week ( the 25th to the 31st) mostly for HP World lol but we can't wait to check out and explore everything City Walk has to offer as well. CityWalk is great!! If I lived in the area I'd go there most weekends. I tell all my friends going down to Universal for the first time to forget about table service in the parks and eat mostly there... It's so close to the parks unlike Disney Springs
Universal knows that locals love to pour into CityWalk so they lifted parking fees late in the day. You'd have to call their customer service department to find out the times. I think it changes depending on the seasons. So if you don't want to be hit with parking fees but want to eat, you can wait it out and then drive in.

NBC Grill was terrible last week. On a Tuesday we waited over an hour for our food, and they forgot the fries. I finished my burger before the fries arrived.
I avoided that place when I went. It never scored consistently on service or food. All the reviews were hit or miss. One day they're good, another day they stink. I don't know why.
Thanks so much for this video! And for the videos on HHN! Because of those, I moved my reservation from Halloween to the 2nd week in December. (I like spooky rather than Horror for Halloween, and the crowds involved would have been horror enough for me.) Anyway, do you know if any of the sit-down restaurants have live entertainment? I know there are clubs and bars, but I guess I'm just looking more for live music with dinner. Something easy. Thank you!
Another great and helpful video! Antojitos and Cowfish are my favs in CityWalk, without yall I would have never eaten at either on my last trip. Please see my post at the top. IF the time and budget allow, I urge people to set aside an extra day just for CityWalk and time to swim in their hotel pool if they're staying on Harry's doorstep. The pools are heated in the winter! Hot water does wonders for stiff backs after being tossed around on rides all day...

Im an annual pass holder I go all the time toothsome has always been a disappointment sadly besides dessert. Mythos in islands of adventure is by far my favorite restaurant I would suggest going there.

Hey! Thank you for watching! You can call 30 days before your dates OR you can make them when you get there like early that morning. The only problem is you run the risk of them all being filled at that point!
We ate at the Chocolate Emporium, I love the outside of this place! Reminds me of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory 😂😂. Can’t wait to go back to try other places! I giggled at how you both pronounced “Bao” in Bend the Bao….. think of it like how you would say “Bow your head” or take a “take a bow” Side note: Have y’all ever seen the short on Disney+ where that adorable little dumpling comes alive? it’s called “Bao”
We love that place! We have always said the same thing about it reminding us of Willy Wonka! Yeah… we realized in editing that we were saying “bay-oh” and thought it might be wrong. We have seen people pronounce it both ways but looked it up and you are right, it’s BOW. We have seen that short! It’s both sad and cute!
Every time I try to use the city walk guest services, I always seem to still have to go to the front gate. But I will say NEVER go to the guest services outside of the gate usually is really long but the one just inside of the gate is wicked fast. Also the one I find to never have a line is the one by MIB.
Oh no! We have always had good luck and we have heard great things! Yeah if you don't need you annual pass from guest services, we would just go into the parks as well!
Never really experienced the places in city walk other than the legacy store and movie theater but I do want to check out Fat Tuesday 😂 only because I’ve had so many out of state people come up to me and ask about it but I didn’t even know city walk had one & when I did go to check it out it was closed 😂 I did not know about the wine bar either and I do love my wine 🍷
There are so many awesome things in CityWalk that we are always too busy to get to! We need to take more time and just hang out in there every once in a while.. its just hard when Hogwarts is .5 mile away haha!
What restaurant did Bend the Bao replace? My wife and I live in Maine and used to go to WDW every year and have only been to Universal once, but now we're defecting to join the Universal camp. We'll be down there in mid-September and I'm just wondering if I remember the restaurant that this replaced and that you used to like. Thanks for your videos, they're always filled with fun but I do have one unrelated question. How the heck did you forget to book a hotel once? Lol I placed the reservation on an airbnb and never confirmed it! I thought I did, it was just my first time using the site and I didn't understand exactly what I was doing. It replaced a little walk up sushi restaurant, too! It was up the escalator close to the food court in CityWalk.

We love City Walk. The onion soup at Toothsome is out of this world. Our favorite restaurant by far is ViVO. Auntie Anne's pretzels are a must. Don't forget Voo Doo donuts. You mention Harry Potter merchandise but, I've never you wear any robes, scarves or ties. I am a Gryffindor and my wife is a Hufflepuff and we wear our colors with pride
Haha there’s just so much good food at the parks! We definitely have some HP merch, but most of it is cold weather clothes and it’s usually FAR from cold at Universal unfortunately. We were just talking about taking our robes for our trip in December. Fingers crossed it’ll be cold enough!
This is one thing I don't like about Disney. They ban cosplay in their parks unless you're under age 9 (may be wrong about age) but Universal doesn't. I went last year and was amazed how many people dressed up. Every morning, when I got on the elevator leaving my room, at least one person or family in the elevator was completely decked out in HP clothing. I regretted not buying Hufflepuff robes before going (buy them online, they cost a fortune in the parks). The best i could do was wear a different shirt from my T shirt collection for each day.
What up guys? I only recently did some research on the former Nickelodeon Studios building & turns out, it's AT CityWalk!!! Replaced by the Blue man Group Show which has closed, but I wanna see the physical location of that
@@dustinsensenig9798 oh yeah! The blue man group stage is between Universal Studios and Islands. You can see it from a few places in Studios! It’s connected to CityWalk, but it’s not really part of it.

That’s so exciting! Happy birthday! Make sure you tell them when you check into your hotel. They occasionally do nice things like give you a coupon for a free drink or something!

They're really good, it's just not a lot of food for what you get! If you got twice as much or it was half the price, we'd eat there literally every day! lol
Love your videos. Have been binge watching your videos to get info for a trip the week before Labor Day. I have a question about the sit down restaurants. My husband and I would like to try a few of these restaurants but we have a son who is on the spectrum and is a very picky eater, do you think it would be a problem if we brought outside food in for our son so he would be able to eat with us? Otherwise we would have to limit we where eat. Thanks for your help and all your great videos.

Oh wow, this is a great questions! We haven’t tried just a ton of the drinks out in CityWalk, but I (Anna) am a big fan of Fat Tuesdays! The margarita is probably my favorite, but they’re all great! I like to try different combinations of them, too. Tyler’s favorite is probably the chocolate beer at Toothsome’s!
Hey! In your experience is it better to shop in the morning or at night? I would hate to see my dream shirt or my favorite keepsake to run out of stock just because I waited too long. But I’m always worried to carry everything around the parks. Will the stores or guest services hold your merchandise and send it to your room for you? Thanks again for all the tips and tricks!
You can send all of your merch to the room! If you are worried about not getting something because it sales out, we would just buy it early and send it back to the room!
Do you guys have a video on merch prices at each stores? I have heard in the past at Disney if the same merch item was in different stores it was still the same price throughout the parks.
Unfortunately, from my experience, it's out of the question if you're on a budget like me but ex Disney fans say their prices are noticeably lower than the Mouse's. I do not know if this is true because I haven't been to WDW in almost 11 years.
Lol! I think we actually ended up not getting donuts that night because they were out of the seasonal ones we wanted. We'll include it next time, though!
