Our Schnauzer is 5 tomorrow ! I cannot put into words the love that we have for him - he has changed our household for the better. I think that everyone should have a Dog - they make you happier.

If you love dogs you will never go wrong with a schnauzer for a partner. His favorite activity was grouse hunting and riding on an atv.

I know what the breed standard is but I'm interested in what your personal experience is with how much they bark during the waking hours and what success you have had controlling that.
If she barks because she sees something outside, we don’t say anything. We expect her to let us know. If it goes on too long, I tell her “ it’s ok”. She is smart. If someone comes to our house and she barks, it depends on the situation. May pick her up or let her get used to the new person.
